I yearn for the path to the holy sanctuary,
هجم الليل بعد فر النهار
The night attacked after the escape of daylight
اقول لقلبي والهموم مقيمة
I say to my heart while sorrows reside,
الحمد لله الذي قد أنعما
Praise be to Allah, who has bestowed favors,
واعظمقوة للمرء حيا
The greatest strength for a man alive
كاس المحبة مر
Sweet bitter love's chalice filled
يا خادم القوم جهلا
O server of the people in ignorance
ما القصد إلا أن أرا
My only intention is to see you
هل السر الا في علي وآله
Through Ali and his family the secret's told
دع الخب والزم صحبة الشهم وانقلب
Leave vice and keep company with the noble
بدأت ببسم الله في مبدأ الأمر
I started with "In the name of Allah" at the beginning
يا رب أني بضيق
O Lord, I am in distress
إن غبت قلبا بالرسول وآله
If my heart is absent with the Messenger and his family,
لمعت بوارق دولة الإرشاد
The banners of the State of Guidance shone
من للفقير المشتكي من حاله
Who but the invisible saints, the zealous ones
أنا ابن صياد القلوب الذي
I am the son of the hunter of hearts who
قسما بأيام اللقا وبسر ما
I swear by the days of meeting and by the secret that
هل هداك الله ففاضت عيوننا
Has God guided you, so our eyes overflowed
الا عذر لا كان الهوى في الهوى العذر

شممنا لطيف المسك من رحب خرقة

My soul is ransom for the Messenger
يا آل أحمد قدركم مجداً سما

هطلت دموع العين والقلب امتلا

يا رجل الذي بالحسن قد سماك

لنا من الوجد في معنى حبائبنا
We have from ecstasy in the meaning of our loved ones

واني لابدي في هواك تجلداً

Bring, O lightning of yearning, your news,
لله في بطحاء ام عبيدة
In the valley of Umm Ubays,
وحق عينيك يا من حين غاب غدر
By your eyes' right, O you who when absent were betrayed
من راحمي والقلب شبت ناره
My consoler, whose heart ignited its fire
صحف الفضاء لما نقول دفاتر
The scrolls of space, when we say notebooks
تمتع من نسيم بقاع سلع
Delight in the breeze of Sala's plains
رأيتك يطغيك الجميل ولم تكن
I saw your beauty blind you, and you could not
سلام الذ من السلسبيل
Greetings sweeter than dew from the cascade,
ورب قبيح قد تجاوز حده
By God, the ugly one had crossed the line
حرام على قلبي محبة غيركم
My heart is forbidden to love any but you,
امن نفحات ازهار العراق
From the fragrances of Iraq's flowers
لي قلب قد قلبته على الجم
My heart which I have overturned with passion
يا اخا الريم كيف تصبرعنا
O brother of tender affection, how can you be so patient with us?
خفايا المعاني تنجلي بالدلائل
The meanings' secrets are revealed through evidence
قلبي قسا ودواعي الذنب مزعجة
My heart was harsh, and sin's compulsion irksome
الا يا من به يجلى الظلام
O you through whom darkness is illuminated,
وحق من صيغ هذا الحلك
By the truth of the one who created this speech
هذا الولي المرتضى
This chosen guardian,
تبجح كاذب خب لئيم
The arrogant liar boasted vainly
صبرت عليك عن حلم ورفق
I was patient with you, with hope and gentleness
ان يذكر الحسب الكريم مسلسلا
If the noble lineage is recounted in order,
اهلا بهذا الاهيف البسام
Welcome to this gentle breeze
لعن الاله يزيد والباقين من
May God curse Yazid and the rest of
كر الجديدين تبدو منه الوان
The new days reveal colors
نور قرب في حالة البعد اقبل
Light draw near in the state of distance, come close
بشراك يا عين اتى يوسفي
With your sight, O my eye, Joseph came
رقص الفؤاد لاجل ذكرك لوعة
My heart dances for the mention of you, yearning
أواه من ظلم جاغر
Oh, the injustice of the oppressor
من الهوى آه
Oh love, how sighs burst forth
لي نحو من ازمعوا السير التفاتات
I have inclinations like those who set out on a journey
رأي الحكماء للمولوه طبا
The wise saw love as an illness for the infatuated
يا ساكن القلب لقد
O dweller of my heart, my eyes
سلطاننا عبد الحميد الذي
Our Sultan Abdul Hamid who
غرامك اضنى الجسم فالنار توقد
Your love has made my body grow thin, so fire is lit
اتسعفني عيني ببذل دموعها
My eyes overflow with shedding their tears,
روح الروح واذكر لي اخلائي
Refresh my soul, and remind me of my loved ones
خيال حبيبي لم يزل ضمن خاطري
The image of my beloved still lingers in my mind
خبر طوى شقق البقاع فاخبرا
News has folded the valleys of al-Baqaa', so inform them,
قال النصوح كتمت الحب تحت خفا
The sincere friend said: "You've hidden love stealthily
يا غزال الشعب الجفول كفاني
O gazelle of the graceful people, you have sufficed me
جلوس سلطان ملوك الورى
The sitting of the sultan, king of kings
عذيري من قلب لقد هام هائمه
My excuse, from a heart that has become infatuated and obsessed
سر فرقان المعاني
The secret of eloquence
اعلل القلب اليف الحزن
The heart is saddened by the troubles of time,
بأبي من اذا شكوت اليه
By him whose love has made my heart its home,
منينا باكدار الليالي وصوفها
We bid farewell to the nights and their darkness,
من هجرك الامان
The one who abandoned you is insecure
غاب الغرام تمكني وثباتي
Love has vanished, and so has my composure
هجر الحب واعتدى وبغى الخب
He abandoned love, transgressed, and evil triumphed,
سيدنا الشيخ على الخزام
Our Master Sheikh Ali Al-Khazzam
تمايلت برداء نقش رقعته
Her cloak billowed with embroidered designs
أواه من ظبي النقا ودلاله
O the gazelle with softness and charm,
عهد تقدم لي بايمن حاجر
A vow you made to me, with your right hand
نهاني النهي الا عن المجد والحزم
He forbade me naught but glory and resolve;
يا رجال البطاح يا ساداتي
O men of al-Bataah, my masters
نسخت بحبي آية العشق من قبلي
I copied with my love the verse of passion before me
الى البدوي خطاف الاسير
To the Bedouin, capturer of the prisoner
شر الاحبة صاحب الاغراض
The worst companion is one with ulterior motives
تذكرت اياما سقى الله عهدها
I recalled the days when God watered their era,
بفقري والذنوب وضعف حالي
With my poverty, sins, and lowly state,
بأعتاب تاج المرسلين التجائيا
With the thresholds of the Crown of the Messengers I take refuge
الى البدوي الغوث وجهت همة
To the Bedouin seeking aid I turn my will
ومهفهف نسي العهو
The ignoble forgot virtue
ارى الروح في اعتاب ذي النجف انطوت
I see the spirit at the threshold of the one with curled lock
أنا من تسمع عنه وترى
I am the one whom you hear of and see
أيجحد من جلالتك السناء
How can one deny your sublime glory,
لبني الصياد صياد السباع
O sons of the generous fisherman, the hunter of beasts
طعن الحسود بنا لخفة عقله
The envious stabbed us because of his feeble mind
آه والوعتي لفقد الاحبه
Oh, my heart grieves for the loss of loved ones
اراني تخافى الجسم مني لوهنه
I saw my frail body hiding from me,
يا من عرفنا كيف كن
O you who knew how you were
لي يا أهيل الجذع تحت ظلالكم
O beloveds of gracious character under your shade
يا آل طه لكم أياد
O family of Taha, your favors abound
بكت السماء فأضحكت وجه الفلا
The sky wept and made the meadows smile,
عجبت لقلبي كيف لا يتفطر
I'm amazed my heart doesn't shatter
أقول لمطرب يحدو الجمالا
I say to the singer who extols beauty
يا من له بمهجتي رفرف
O you who flutters in my heart
قلب تألم من فراق أحبة
A heart ached from parting with loved ones
إليك يا أشرف خلق الله
To you, O noblest of God's creations
كتمت عن الصديق صحيح حالي
I hid my true state from a friend
أهاجك ربع عفا مخلق
A gentle breeze stirred longing in my heart
رأيت نقطة خال
I saw a beauty spot
روحي الفدا لحبيبة قتالة
My soul is ransomed for my warrior beloved
روحي الفداء لثغر
My soul is ransom for your lips
اخذت كتابكم وذكرت عهدا
I took your book and recalled an ancient covenant
يا رب بطه مولى ملوك الأكوان
O Lord of Might, Master of the Kings of the Universe
لقد طال للركب المجد تلفتي
The glorious caravan long held my allegiance,
يا حادي العيس طيبنا بذكرك من
O guide of the caravan, your mention has delighted us,
عليكم كلما اختبط الظلام
Whenever darkness becomes confused,
حملت حمال القصد والآمال
She carried the burden of purpose and hopes
هيج البعد هواها
The distance kindles her love,
حبيبي ان شخصك في فوأدي
My love, your being resides in my heart,
ايعذر من لمقي الزمام الى الدينا
What excuse for one who holds the reins of faith
ولطيفة سكنت بوادي المنحنى
A gentle beauty dwelt in the valley's curve
بحيث اندهش الفكر
Where the mind is astonished,
جفاءٌ جرى جهرا لدى الناس وانبسط
Harshness spread openly among people and unfurled
بأية حجة منع الوصالا
Why did you forbid our meeting,
سهرنا على ذكر الاحبة يا هند
We stayed up reminiscing about our loved ones, O Hind
للغزال الطريف في القلب دار
The graceful gazelle has a home in the heart
أسد الله فتى العزم أبا السا
Lion of God, hero of determination, father of
يقولون تعفو عن فلان وقد بغى
They say you forgive so-and-so though he rebelled
يا قلب مهلا فقد اودى بك الجزع
O heart, be patient, for grief has brought you low
رأيتك في عهد المودة ناقضا
I saw you in the days of friendship violating
روض قد لألأ عسجده
A garden has been adorned with beauty
اخا الرأي دع هذا الزمان واهله
O brother of opinion, leave this time and its people
يا صاح ان رمت الهدى رغم من
O friend, if you cast aside right guidance
لمع الصباح برونق السعد
The morning shone with the splendor of joy
يعاودني من خيف ريم النقاطيف
The shadows of past dreams recur to me,
رح طيبا يا قرة العين
Depart well, O solace of my eyes,
أغث يا ختام المرسلين بإحسان
O Seal of the Messengers, come to my aid with kindness,
بالله يا حادي الركبان هل طرقت
O guide of travelers, I implore you -
لآل محمد جاه عريض
The glory of Muhammad's family is vast
جاءت فغبت ومذ غابت حضرت وقد
She came and when she left she returned, and I
وحياة لين خصرك المياس
The softness of your slender waist enchants
والله ما تم سوى الله لمن
By Allah, nothing is complete except Allah, for one
لما جرى الوصل والايام مسعفة
When union flowed and days were propitious
رعى الله أياما تقضت بشيخون
God cherished days that passed with elders gray,
قلبي اللديغ وانت انت الراقي
My wounded heart, and you are the sublime one
تطارحني الايام بالبؤس والرضا
The days confront me with misery and contentment
لا منى عاذلي فميلني اللو
No reprimand can deter my desire
يا رسول الله دارك كرما
O Messenger of Allah, your abode is generosity
اقول لحب قط لم يعرف الوفا
I say to a love that never knew loyalty
طبعت بمرآة الفؤاد الذي محى
She engraved herself in the heart's mirror,
قمر المجد انطوت انواره
The moon of glory, its light has set
بكم يا آل خير المرسلين
With you, O Family of the Best of Messengers
وحياة عينك والمحبة لم تزل
By your life, and the love that still remains
أستغفر الله من ذنب أتيت به
I seek forgiveness from Allah for the sin I have committed
أرق من الصبا النجدي طبعا
More slender than an eastern Najdi youth,
ما خاب بين الورى يوما ولا عثرت
Never has one been lost between existence, not once stumbled
يا أهل زينب اعلموا لي زينباً
O people of Zainab, let me know about Zainab
أذوب غراما والحبيب الذي أهوى
I melt in love, yet the one I adore
لقد خان لؤما نعمة لم يكن بها
The ungrateful betrayed a favor undeserving;
دخيل على الغوث الرفاعي وشبله
An intruder upon al-Ghawth and his cub,
يا آل طه ادركونا بالمدد
O family of Taha, come to our aid
صلى الآله على أبي الزهراء
Blessings of God be upon the father of Az-Zahra
منح المهيمن أحمدا بظهوره
The Sovereign granted Ahmad through his appearance,
قل لمحبوب دني
Tell my beloved Duniya
نعم إن الجمال يهاب طبعاً
Yes, beauty is feared, of course,
إذا أثقلت ظهري ذنوبي وبات بي
When my sins weigh upon my back through the night
يا رب بطه سلطان أهل العرفان
O Lord, crown of the gnostics,
حيرت يا ريم النداما
I am perplexed, O Reem of regret
لديوان باب الله حيدرة الرضى
The Diwan of Babullah Haydarah al-Ridha
تركت حبيبي القلب لا عن ملالة
I left my beloved, not out of boredom,
أواه من عشر المحرم أنه
Alas the tenth of Muharram has come
تأسد ثعلب والهر أيضا
The fox took on the fury of a lion
أظبية داريا تملكت مهجة
A doe owned my heart
يا ساكنين بقلبي
O dwellers of my heart
بدر تبرقع بالثريا وارتدى
The full moon donned brocade and jewelry
أقول لقلبي حين ضاق مجاله
I say to my heart when its scope narrows:
الى شيخون تنعطف الاماني
To Shaykhun aspirations turn
اعلل بالخيال جريح قلبي
My heart's wound is healed by imagination,
لله لله يا محبوب حالك حال
For God, for God, oh my beloved, how is your state
الغارة الغارة يا مصطفى
O Mustafa, the raid, the raid
قرب الحبيب وقد تباعد وصله
The beloved is near, yet distance keeps us apart
كل المآرب ان تعسر نيلها
If every ambition is difficult to attain
لواء المجد والتعظيم يعقد
The banner of glory and veneration is held
شهامة السادات في أصلنا
The nobleness of the Sadats is inherent in our origin
يا رفاعي وقعت في أبوابك
O Rifa'i, I have fallen at your door
دار السرور بنا مع الاوقات
The home of joy was built with time,
لكل مؤمل خذ آل طه
For every hopeful, take the family of Taha
قطعوا من فؤادي الأوصالا
They severed my limbs from my heart
بالله يا نديمي
By God, O my friend
يا غزالا قلب مضناه ملك
O gazelle, your beauty has captured my heart
خطرات ذكرك تستثير مودتي
The thoughts of you stir up my affection,
عجبت لذي طيش ولؤم وخسة
I'm amazed by one of fickle ways and blame,
قد اكثر التهويل اخلاط على
They have filled their pages with much pretense
لسعت حية الذوائب قلبي
The snake of separation bit my heart
صفير عصافير الرياض لوى قلبي
The warbling of Riyadh's birds twisted my heart
إن سامك الخطب يوما والكروب دهت
When one day your troubles overwhelmed you and disaster struck
مهفهفة ما الريم إلا رقيقها
Her melody is gentle, pure and clear
آه لوقت سبقا
Oh, the time of departure
سلطان عزك في غيب الوجود جلا
The reign of your might permeates all unseen existence
ظن حسن النظام لا عن غرام
I thought order's beauty not of passion
أردت التعالي والحسود مدا المدا
I sought elevation, though the envious stretched out their hands
تعذيب قلبي في هواك حلالي
My heart's torment for your love is my undoing
قام معناك للمحاسن رمزا
Your meaning arose as a symbol of beauties,
لخرقة خير الوجود الذي
The cloak is the best of existence
أنا عبد قد أغرقتني الخطايا
I am a servant drowned in sins,
لا تنبه بلوعتي اللواما
Reproach not my anguish, O blamer
اصاحب لو سمعت كلام حبي
If my beloved heard my words of love
يا آل الرسول الذي قبل البروز مع ال
O family of the Messenger, before your emergence with
جاء النسيم يعطر من محاضركم
The breeze came perfuming from your dwellings,
ومهفهف لعب الشباب بطوره
The youth played joyously in the meadow,
من منصفي من دمعي المتدفق
Who can sympathize with my flowing tears
الى سدة الغوث الرفاعي احمد
To the seat of relief, the eminent Ahmed
رأى الطرف اطلال الحمى فتنشطا
The eyes saw the ruins of a dwelling and became active,
يا مظهر الحسن الجليل
O manifestation of sublime beauty
ألا يا لقومي للهوى المتقسم
O my people, for passion apportioned,
متى يا سعد تسعدنا الليالي
When, O Saad, will the nights bring us joy
شكوت إلى رسول الله هما
I complained to the Messenger of Allah of worries
متى خيام من احب تقرب
When will the tents of Khiyam visit me,
آه هذا برق الابيرق لاحا
Ah, this lightning of longing has flashed
طال في خلوة الذنوب انفرادي
My solitude in the abode of sins has been prolonged
ليس التصوف بالخرق
Sufism is not about wearing rags,
عربد بالافكار راح الهوى
My thoughts overflow with passion,
وغزيل عبث النسيم بطبعه
The breeze toyed lightly with its nature
سألت حبيبي اين وعدك فالتوى
I asked my beloved where is your promise bending
حب سلمان حين صح لأهل ال
Salman's love when he awoke to the family
هز منها النسيم خصراً رفيعاً
A gentle breeze sways her slender waist,
حبي لأهلي وأولادي وعائلتي
My love for my family, children and relatives
اخا الاشجان حي على الفلاح
O brother of melancholy, awake to joy
لقد ظن العذول نسيت حاشا
The fool thought I forgot, never!
امولاي وزري جل عن طوق كاتب
My Master, my burden is too heavy for this scribe’s neck,
ينادي وضيع العرق هل من مماثل
The lowborn calls, is there anyone like me?
إليك ربكان أرباب الفحول سعت
To you the lords of lords, the best of men hastened,
نحن قسمنا بينهم طاب قلبنا
Our hearts we have divided amongst them
يا رفقتي كأسي حلا
O my companions, my cup is sweet,
قلب غدا كالبعض من خاله
A heart that became like some of its family
عجبت لمبتاع الضلالة بالهدى
I am amazed at the misguided one claiming guidance,
قال الصدور من الرجا
The hearts said in longing
هززت يد الاقدار يا رب ضارعا
I shook the hand of fate, O Lord pleading
مهفهف هيمني
My love troubles me,
الا قاتل الله الدني فانه
Alas, may God destroy the vile one, for he
يا عماد القوم طيا للابد
O pillar of the people, long lived forever
هذا الرفاعي الذي ظهرت له
This is Rifa'a, to whom were revealed
حي المنازل اذ ترى شيخونا
O homes when you see our old shaikh
خل خلي من الى الغي انتمى
Leave the ignorant to their misguidance
أغث يا أحمد البدوي وأدرك
O Ahmed the Bedouin, come to my aid
سربدا مجلاه
Eternal is His majesty,
اطل مدة الهجر ان ما شئت وارفض
Gaze however long at the estrangement, if you wish, and spurn me.
ختم المجالس باب كل عناية
يا نبي الوجود بالجود أدرك
ذنوبي أثقلت ظهري وجلت
إذا ضقت ذرعا لأمر دها
مدح الرسول بحق
سألتك سربي مسرعا عن ديارهم
وإذا الزمان سطا بكل كريهة
لسراج الأنبيا حامي النزيل
لآل الحبيب حماة الغريب
شيب الكريم اضر أم عويمر
وقال لحاني عليه العذول
آه لو أن جرة الآه ترجى
سر الهدى بابن الرفاعي
يثور بنار الغرام لارض مي
يا جاهلاً قدر أهل البيت والمدد
لابد للعارف من محنة
لبني الصياد دار شيدت
مظاهر أسرار بواطن رمزها
لأهلي وأولادي وحزب أقاربي
لعمري خالدي ذو عباة
خانك من تهوى فلا تخنه
فككت بجاه خير الخلق عقدا
وأخت غزال كلما التفتت لها
دع حب من ترك الوفا
فتكت بي لواحظ الغزلان
قد قرأنا منشور انا فتحنا
بكيت لتذكار الاحبة والنوى
ما احتيالي في ذا الفؤاد الموله
سلام لو شرحت به ضميري
بعلي الكرار والحسن ابنه
يا رب بطه سر الوجود المختار
إلهي بفضل الحبيب الهمام
نعم صباح الخير إذا نبتدي
دع الناس أن الناس لا شيء عندهم
إلى القدم الشريف قد التجأنا
حجاب الخطب أن شدت عراه
حب آل النبي باب الترقي
عليك إن ضقت ذرعاً
قوم بزورا وطوس والغري وفي
كشفت حجاب الطمس عن حيطة الأسما
وعزة الله ما شوقي إلى العلم
أمر على الديار ديار ليلى
لأحمد الصياد قد

على صحبتي للكلب عوتبت مرة
حمى المولى في بي
من لم يكن ذا غيرة
هات ذكر الغزالة الخود هات
بصبح وجه حبيب
سكنتم سويد القلب في برزخ الصدر
فتكت عيون الغيد بالألباب
أهل المحبة لهم عندك عرايض حال
يا من تمكن من جوانحه الهوى
لباب السيد المهدي شيخي
عتبت على الدنيا عتاب لبيب
لله في طي هذا الكون آيات
يا رب قد ضقت ذرعا يا مغيث اغث
يا نعم ضائعة المكارم تنشد
صياد تدارك بالمدد
دعوتك يا الله يا عالم السر
يا حبيبا رام هجرا
يا كسروي الطرف حسبك انني
سيد الاولياء غوث البرايا
قد اباح الحظ بالالطاف لي
قالوا ولعت بشيخون وليس بها
سكن الفؤاد غزيل حلو اللمى
بالله ضع قدميك فوق مهاجري
صبرا امي فذي الشخوص خيال
هل يا هذيم من الزمان امان
لقد حلف الخب المخنث قلت هل
الى متكين طار بنا غرام
رجال بني السبطين في كل بقعة
لباب ابن الوليد شكوت خصمي
لأعتاب غوث الشرق صاحب بصرة ال
بمقري الباز مولانا حمانا
غرام لا يقابل غرام
ترك الوفا بدر وعامل بالجفا
سبيتم بلساني
أهيم بخود عندها القلب قد فنى
ولعت بها قبل الرضاع وإنني
أخذت قلبي العليل وسارت
خاف الحبيب من العذول وزوره
سمحت بالوصال والليل قد أس
لعبت مهاة الأخضرين بمهجة
لطف طباع الحبيب أوهى
مددت إليك أيادي الحشا
وأسمر عسلي اللون صادفني
وأسمر حمرته ممزوجة
قسما بها وبودها وبعدها
ومهاة ودعتني ومضت
أتت تختال في ثوبٍ رفيع
لقد أسمعتها سحر المعاني
وعدت فأخلفت الوعود قود عدت
جرحتني بذي الفقار عيون
شطر من الموت الفرا
نفحة الغيب حرزنا
كل المفاخر لو انصفت في العرب
ايظلمني الزمان وانت فيه
خل السوى واقنع بوصل حماها
أمور تضحك الجهلاء منها
تدارك أجل المرسلين بإحسان
روحي وأرواح من في الكائنات فدا
روح الوجود معاني الكون جملتها
يا نبيا على الأنبياء
يا مرسلاً لاذ الورى بجنابه
لقد أكثر الباغي التعدي بقوله
رسول الرضى أدرك عبيدك بالبشرى
ضاقت الحيلة مني
إليك التجائي يا نبي الورى أغث
لاحظ المسكين بالمدد
لدار الخرقة العليا أتينا
يا من له راحة كالبحر وابلها
يا آل أحمد كم لكم من مدحةٍ
في شمال ومغرب
نحن بالله عزنا
كل قصد بفضل أشرف هاد
كل الحوائج إن حطت عريضتها
نزلت بساح باب الله طه
سبقوا البرية طارفا وتليدا
لي روح في هواكم تفتدي
مودة أهل البيت فرض كما يدري
قلت إذ أقبلت وزهر تهادى
ذهبت ولم تلمم بديباجة الحرم
روح الوجود بآل المصطفى انتعشت
وي كأن السماء تلطم بالعش
لذ بباب الغوث الجليل الرفاعي
سيد الأولياء يا جداه
للغوث عبد القادر الجيلاني
ربطت بحبل عنقا الشرق حبلى
هذا كتاب منزل وزبور
بطرفة العين بارينا يغير ما
والدة لله كم مرة
إلا أن بعد القوم عن جاهل بهم
مروءتنا في شأن قارع بابنا
إن المحبة إن قادت إلى الأدب
طريق المحبة كل الطريق
أحب لحبها السودان حتى
إذا أملت في الدنيا صديقاً
لم يعرف العارف إلا إذا
باحيا علوم الدين أفنيت مدةً
يا بارقا شب بين الشام واليمن
سلام من فؤاد مستهام
ألم العشق في فؤادي أثر
آمنت بالله هذا البدر داريه
بدر تحيرت العقول بفعله
روحي الفدا لعائد حلو اللمى
نقشت في جبينها والمحيا
مرض الطرف زاد لي أمراضي
رقيقة الطبع أخت الظبي قاتلة ال
قلب تفطر من فراقك
وعد الحبيب بزورة وتدللاً
وله القلب بمن أحببته
لولا تعلل قلبي حين أذكركم
قلبي يعاركه فراق احبتي
الحمد لله الكريم بفضله
لي حبيب اضر بالبعد قلبي
ما هب نشر الصبا
نناجيكمو يا ساكني حلب الشهبا
شيخي الرفاعي طريقه الأدب
وحق عينيك يا حبيب
للاسد ضمن الفلاة غاب
اراك بعين الرأس ان كنت حاضرا
علمتم بأني مغرم بكم صب
يا بويرق الحمى
سلوا حمرة الخدين عن مهجة الصب
يا عنق الابريق من فضة
احباه ما ذا يصنع القلب حيلة
اذا قلت قولا كان فعلي قبله
آه على وقت مع الاحباب
لنا للألى سادات واسط نسبة
فرطت لا تنحرف عن منهج الادب
عقولنا وسعت كل الشؤن بها
قديما كان في الدنيا اناس
يا عين جودي بالدموع وهات
