1. If the noble lineage is recounted in order,
Their uncles, their aunts' husbands, and so the lineage,

2. They do not extol, for other than the majesty of their glory,
A lineage not from their loins and seminal fluid.

3. It drags, it luxuriates, when their people are arrayed,
And with it are strung together pearls, a necklace of gold.
