1. Trust in the Most Merciful with all your affairs
Trust, O wise one, follows the path of proper conduct

2. Do not sit idly in laziness, unaware
And do not desire helplessness, ever seeking sustenance

3. Have you not seen that Allah said to Mary
As the holy pen wrote on its tablet

4. Since you secluded yourself for Allah in the shade of a palm tree
And shook the trunk so that the ripe dates would fall

5. Had He willed that you harvest it without shaking
And without applying means and effort

6. He would have inclined the trunk to you with its fruit
So you could harvest it, but everything has a cause
