1. God cherished days that passed with elders gray,
And livened nights gone by with wine's inebriation.

2. Nights for us in the shade of our master who
Upholds honor for Islam, truth and religion.

3. Hizbar son of Ghauth the Rufa'i, star of
Men and their patron with purpose and enablement.

4. Abu al-Majd, hunter of beasts, brave in fray,
When fear seizes chests of sultans in the land.

5. Descendent of Hussein Ahmad, foremost of folk,
An Imam, arrivant with clear proofs for us.

6. Abu al-Khair, Shaykh of Damascus and Yemen's,
Exalted glory of the West’s generous lions.

7. Ali Janab raised his family’s traces
By myst’ry diffused through saints’ scrolls.

8. Refuge when straits constrict, rescuer
If knights stir between two battle lines.

9. Mine ally of vast renown, valiant,
Passionate, aid of the indigent.

10. He stripped aggressors with sincerity and turned
To Sinai's mount, drawn near without pretense.

11. To him the scent of reunion has meaning, as
Does the draft of ascent in cups have savor.

12. Moments were sweetened for him by God, so he folded
The text of time's secret, now and forever.

13. For him the universe made rounds of honor’s wine
Ceaselessly, not to be spilled in scales' weighing.

14. A youth of honorable, glorious folk,
Whose love's incumbent on each man of faith.

15. An Imam of the Sayyids, House of Guidance’s Imams,
And path of chosen ones for disciples.

16. Scion of God’s Messenger, heir of his knowledge,
In his time, best refuge, guide and trustee.

17. I call him, heart aflame, none but him
Can defend me from enemies, tending me.

18. Yes, he's my treasure, means, hope, fortress,
Prospect and warrant of safety.

19. By God's grace while dawn gleams unclouded,
And west wind blows, branishing enablement.
