1. To Shaykhun aspirations turn
Like meteors horses gallop and leap

2. Hearts flutter ceaselessly towards
The threshold of the heart's hunter

3. Master of glory, treasure of faith, Dhakhrī
Sword of victory in the thick of battle

4. Scion of the lordly lion, al-Rifā‘ī
Before the spiritual riders' breasts

5. To him I came, tripping on my modesty
My train dipped in faults

6. And patron of saints, Abū ‘Alī
Sublime in life's turmoils

7. He is the son of al-Mustafā and his folk
By them the great sinner is saved

8. Upon them at all times greetings
Renewed in morn and eve
