1. The caravans have marched ahead towards life
Provisioned, while I remain unprovisioned

2. Unaware of what will become of me, and what
Will happen when the riders arrive tomorrow

3. It is not my sin, neither mine nor with me
So neither virtue from my behavior, nor good fortune aids me

4. If I ponder my error and burden
I confide my worries to anxiety in every scene

5. And I do not see for myself a means to success
In my confusion except my love for the family of Muhammad
