1. Neither knot nor sorrow will be undone,
Except by the grace of the Exalted One.

2. The sun of prophets, the apple of every eye,
Ascended the Lote-Tree beyond the sky.

3. A star of glory whose light dissolved the veil,
Leaving no shadows, only Light, unveiled.

4. An ocean of knowledge roared in the world of blindness,
Spilling over the rims till it soaked all barrenness.

The epitome of mysteries, part and whole,

6. Defying all descriptions, He fills every soul.
A unique verse in the hidden book of life,

7. A rare jewel of inner knowledge and insight.
A sacred temple manifesting the Divine,

8. Without peer or likeness, singular, sublime.
A lion vanished into the unseen world,

9. Abandoned by friends on whom hopes were pinned.
Relieving all misery should calamities shake,

10. Humiliating every foe when evil breaks.
An argument of God that will never fade,

11. A sword of truth that was made to pervade.
The axis of the cosmos's myriad shapes,

12. The source and branch of all its tapestries.
The symbol of life's embodiments obscure,

13. Speaking and acting, motive pure.

14. Ahmad, the best of creations, chosen guide,
Noblest of messengers, though foes deride.

15. I beg from his door satisfaction of wants,
For at that door, no beseecher ever pants.

16. He is God's Door through which I make my plea,
For stillness suits none but the Divine Essence.

17. May Allah shower eternal peace on him,
Every time the creations remember to pray to their Maker.
