1. The dawn of victory shone bright,
As the radiant full moon went forth in delight.

2. The clatter of pottery sings praise,
And the pens of conquest make a pleasant sound.

3. Rejoice, O Leader of the Faith, in what
Destiny has granted you - victory's ally.

4. Your ancestry among the House of Osman -
A people with whom the caliphate and throne have prospered.

5. And your household, when adorned with glories,
Is most eminent, each event followed by another.

6. Your grandfather, opener of lands, is called
By the Prophet's decree, "Excellent Emir."

7. From your bountiful sea of generosity flowed a river,
Its roar heard throughout the land's expanses.

8. Your lofty resolve unleashed warriors
Whose battle-cry fills the air like a lion's roar.

9. You have made clemency your standard with power,
And the King Almighty has beautified this clemency.

10. You have founded kingship on justice, delighting in it -
Justice and it have become radiant companions.

11. You pardoned the errant, nothing new,
For one like you, pardoning is most great.

12. You gifted the lands and their inhabitants
With your benevolence, like rain clouds pouring down.

13. When the Greeks grew insolent in ignorance,
You shone with the light of your patience.

14. You extended peace and mercy to them,
While reckless foolishness leads only to ruin.

15. So your armies subdued them when they transgressed
With a war even children ravenously crave.

16. Those who escaped death fled in trepidation,
Their heads taking wing in flight.

17. The mortally wounded tossed in agony,
While the captured languished in chains.

18. The lands your soldiers conquered
Flowed with the blood of their slain enemies.

19. You mixed kindness with care,
So giving charity has become your hallmark.

20. These virtues have flowed from your ancestors -
Their fragrant memory diffuses its scent.

21. They are the exemplars whose faith supported religion,
Perplexing the keenest minds.

22. How many kings disappeared by their hand,
Seeking their protection in surrender?

23. How many paupers they enriched with their rule,
And the lowly were honored by their nobility?

24. You today, my Master, represent their tradition -
The pillar of the household and greatest king.

25. You possess every venerable distinction,
You deserve every sublime honor.

26. With qualities that humble celestial bodies,
And kindness that makes the wild gazelle jealous.

27. With manners refined by glorious deeds -
Destiny has fashioned their varied shapes for you.

28. You have inscribed immortal triumphs in the earth,
Beyond any lofty titles.

29. You have brought glory to religion and Islam,
Illuminating the celestial sphere of honors.

30. Your heart shines with joy,
And your glance is ever serene.
