1. Tell the sorrowful Jacob, I implore you,
That Joseph has returned from the journey of separation.
١. قولوا ليعقوب الحزين بحقكم
قد جاء من سفر القطيعة يوسف
2. Perhaps seeing him will make his eyes shine,
And his longing heart will be gladdened by him.
٢. فعسى برؤيته تضيءُ عيونه
ويطيب منه فؤاده المتلهف
