1. My love troubles me,
Love is the cause of my ailments,

2. My waist is oppressed by injustice,
If only one day it would be just,

3. I have become infatuated with him,
And the passionate became an example,

4. What is it to me, the magic of his eyes,
I have never hoped for another,

5. More wondrous are my tears when,
They began to flow from my eyes,

6. I swear by the fire that,
Appeared to Moses on the mountain,

7. And by the perfect scripture,
That descended upon our Prophet,

8. The image of the one I love,
On a hidden tablet that has not changed,

9. His beauty imprinted,
In its design and ridges,

10. How many blamers have blamed me,
For him and rebuked harshly,

11. But the more they grow,
My love for him grows,

12. By God, every envious talebearer,
Shall be rewarded tomorrow for what he did,

13. Leave him my brother, wading,
Tomorrow he will be rewarded for what he did,

14. For beings will come to an end,
And what shadow has not changed?

15. The cycle of existence passes,
And the grave is the box of deeds.
