This existence upon your path is a gesture,
أهل الحجاب مع الثياب عيونهم
The people of the veil, their eyes are veiled
هل العناية إلا أن ترى رجلا
Is providence anything but seeing a man
ألا يا بني الدنيا رأيتم شؤننا
Our journey strayed though we did not intend
أنائبنا هذي الوجودات كلها
Our beings, all of them
قد أبصر الزمان علوى وغفا
Time has attained loftiness and turned away
أسعفيني يا نياقي
Help me, O my camel
آمنت بالله الوجود كله
I believe in Allah, all existence is His
هنيئا لعبد طيب الحب قلبه
Blessed is the servant whose heart is purified by love
جرى دمعي السياح من جفني البالي
My tears flowed like a stream from my withered eyelids
إلهي بنور الذات في القدم الأسمى
My God, with the light of Your Essence from the highest Eternity
ما بين جرعاء اليلملم والعلم
Between the sips of yearning and the banner
أتانا من صبا نجد نسيم
A breeze came to us from the youth of Najd
كيف لا أندب الطلول غراما
How can I not lament the beloveds in love
حب النبي الهاشمي ديني
My religion is loving the Hashimite Prophet
أهلا بليلى قد جلت هلالها
Welcome Lilah, her crescent has risen
أَمن طالع الصبح المنير تفجرت
Did the dawn's rising light reveal
يا آخذا وسط الشآم
O you who stand amid al-Sham
ما هفهفتني نسمة الربيع
The breeze of spring did not stir me,
يا أيها الشمس التي لحت من
O sun that has risen from
قد كشف السر عن الرمز الخبا
The secret has unveiled the cryptic symbol
من خلف مسدل ستر الغيب لاح لنا
Behind the veil of the unseen, a full moon appeared to us
ماذا يقول عليل شفه وله
What does the ailing one whose lips are cracked say
تطوف بساحات القلوب عجائب
Wonders roam the domains of hearts
خذ شهودا عن شهود الكائنات
Take witnesses of the witnesses of existence
إلى أبي العلمين الركب قد عرجت
To the father of two worlds the caravan has climbed
شيخ لنا ثاو بأم عبيدة
We have a venerable sheikh in Umm Abida's son
متكين بصرتنا وأحمد أحمد
Mitkín is our sight and Ahmad Ahmad
أيها المستحلف الليل أفق
O you who have sworn by the night to arise,
ليل المحب إذا تطاول بالسهر
The night of the lover grows long with wakefulness
ترفع عن محاورة الأعادي
Rise above debating with enemies,
نحن الرفاعية الأعلام ما برحت
We are the towering banners, we Raifa'is never cease
جرد لبر الشرق همة زائر
Display the will of the noble East's righteousness
لله في حيش عبد في حظيرته
In God's enclosure a servant in his monastery
هل بان نعمان وهذا الأجرع
Has Nu'man and this ugly man appeared
يا فؤادي أنت غائب
O my heart, you are absent
بالله يا أيها الساري العشية لم
By God, O night traveler who did not stop glorifying,
رأيت رسول الله سبعين مرة
Seventy times have I seen Allah's messenger
تحت شراع الرفرف
Under the flapping sail
طلع الفجر ووافى مشرقا
Dawn arose and met the east
تجلجلت بغوشها الشكوك
Suspicions roiled in its darkness
آه من وزري الجسيم الثقيل
Oh, the burden of my heavy sins
كتبت غيبا على ما قام في الأزل
I was predestined in pre-eternity for what took place
حسد الولي الجاهل
The ignorant governor was envious
تعلم مني النوح في مذهب الهوى
Learn from me the lament in the doctrine of passion,
جاس العدو خلال دار عويجز
The enemy wandered through the house of 'Uwayjiz
يا رجال الغيب أين الهمم
O men of dignity, where is your zeal?
واد أبو البركات يوما يجتلي
A valley, Abu al-Barakat, one day reveals
إذا رأيت هلالا
If I could see the crescent moon
أي ورد قد شممناه ضحى
What rose whose fragrance we inhaled at dawn
أنا الفتى من بني الصياد لي نسب
I am the youth from the tribe of fishermen
تهادت العيس ليلا
The camels marched on through the night
أمنوا الريح لي سلاما زكيا
They sent the gracious wind to bid me peace,
للروح من روح ريح الحب ريحان
The spirit has the scent of the breeze of love,
للقلب في سبك الحروف معان
The heart has deep meanings in the composition of letters
هب نشر العرار من متكين
The fragrance of incense spread from Mitkin,
بين طي الحبيب والنشر معنى
Between the folds of the beloved and dissemination is meaning
ما في بشائرنا التي لظهورنا
No tidings in our omens foretell our coming,
لما تقلقلت الركبان سارية
When the caravans swayed away
حفظنا له عهدا قديما مطرزا
We kept an ancient covenant embroidered
يا بني الدنيا استريحوا
O people of this world, rest
قرأنا بجفر الحب رمزا منمنما
We read in the book of love a glittering symbol
كم في السرائر من كمين لواعج
How much is concealed in the innermost thoughts -
نزه فؤادك عن محبة غيره
Purify your heart from loving another
لولاك يا نور الملا
Without you, O light of the assembly
أرح فؤادك من هم الوجودات
Relieve your heart from the worries of existence
برق نعمان على الهائم طل
The lightning of Nu'man flashed over the wanderers
مر بالكاسر طافحا يا ساقي
The cupbearer passed by brimming, O pourer,
صباح أتى بالبشر والخير والرضا
The dawn brought good news, joy, contentment,
أذوب لمكة الفيحاء حبا
I melt with love for fragrant Mecca
يقولون قد آذى لئيم مبرءا
They say a scoundrel has offended an innocent one
للتجلي من طيه أسرار
To reveal from its folds secrets
لله في الكون عهد قد جرى ومضى
God has a covenant with the universe fulfilled and past
أجتلى نور وجهه فأذب
His face's light shone brightly and melted me
تدوس بساط الله والقلب فاقد
You trample the carpet of God while your heart is lost,
يا ظلمة الزور كفي
O darkness of falsehood, enough
أبدى الباطل ليلا لكن
Falsehood showed itself at night, but
ما بال قوم ترى للغير مقدرة
What is with a people who you see attributing might to others?
إطمس مشاهدك التي
Erase your visions that
أواه من ذاك الغزيل الأغن
Oh, the agony of that graceful gazelle
ته غراما فللغرام رجال
Crave passionately, for passion has men
أقول للركب الذي جد السرى
I say to the caravan that hastened its pace
يا منشد الغيب أذكر من نيهم به
O chanter of the unseen, remember the one whose love fills us
كم عاشق متلذذ
How many a lover in delight
أبدر الحي غلغلت الستاره
You unveiled the luminous full moon's beauty
تحت سبر المرفرف الأزلي
Under the eternal fluttering canopy,
رفع الله مظهر ابن الرفاعي
God raised the status of Ibn al-Rifa'i
ما انبلج الصباح في طالعه
Not yet has the dawn shone in its rising,
وحي السماء منزل ببيوتنا
Revelation from heaven descended upon our homes
رأينا غصون البان مالت تولها
We saw the branches of the myrtle bend over
ولما توسطنا البطاح عشية
When we reached the sands at dusk,
رأت رفرف الأكوان هند فولت
She saw the fluttering of the worlds, so she inclined
خل عنك الأوهام يا أم عمرو
Leave your delusions, O mother of Amr
عجبا مت غراما
Oh wonder, I died of love
هذا بروز سابق
This is an early emergence
آيات تلك الحضرة القدسيه
The verses of that sacred presence
قيل لي صحت لسكر
They said to me, “You are awake from drunkenness”
سريت أروم الحب مضنى وليس لي
I wandered the path of love in agony, yet I have no escape
البرق يمان
The lightning of Yemen
دمع من العين جرى كالمطر
Tears from the eyes flowed like rain
أراني هلال الأفق لمعة أنسكم
I saw you as a crescent moon lighting up my horizon
تقيل المناي تحت أقدام جندنا
The grief is heavy under our soldiers' feet,
رآني بمرط الإنكسار أخو الهوى
I saw him in the garb of melancholy, a kindred spirit,
رفع البدر علينا سجفا
The full moon rose over us,
حي الربيع بزهره
Spring came with its flowers
روحينا يا نسيمات الصبا
Refresh us, O breezes of the dawn
كتب الله في سجل الصيانة
God wrote in the record of protection
جاء البشير ليعقوبي بيوسفه
The herald came to Jacob with the news of Joseph
أي قلب هام فيكم وسكن
What heart among you has yearned and dwelled
يقولون يا هذا الشيوخي كم تهم
They say, "O old man, for how long will you yearn
لله موقفنا بأم عبيدة
Our stance is for Allah at Umm Ubaydah
خذوا بيد العبد الضعيف تكرما
Take the hand of this weak slave out of kindness
قل لغزلان بقيعان النقا
Tell the graceful gazelles grazing the meadows
تحل بالصدق واذكر خاشعا وأمط
Embrace sincerity and remember humbly
أمن النجوم إذا تحول سجفها
Are there tidings from the stars when their aspect changes
ماذا يضر البدر وهو في السما
What harm can the full moon do in the sky
أضحى فؤادي منيرا
My heart is illuminated
زيادة طور المرء عن حده نقص
Overstepping the limit diminishes one
تلألأ في الأكوان نور محيانا
Our beloved's light shines in the universe
ولما أتينا أرض حيش وعندنا
When we came to the land of Hiash, with yearning
نحن الذين لنا المقام الأيد
We who possess the exalted abode
زر حيش لا تلو النياق لحاسا
Visit a place where there are no foxes to disturb you,
أي راح دارت به الأقداح
What wine in cups passed round
علامة حبكم قلب لهيف
The mark of my love for you is a blazing heart,
ما للقلوب عن الحبيب غطاء
Veils cannot cloak love of the beloved,
متى قربت من الخمسين طرت إلى
When you approached fifty, you strayed into
للقلب من حكم الهوى
The heart has its own logic in love
خالق الناس بخلق حسن
Creator of people with good manners,
جدي بواسط أوسط القوم الألى
My Grandfather, the middlemost of the foremost people
أمن لية البرق الحجازي قد لوي
Is it from the Hijazi lightning bolt your heart is bent,
طرق السر من البرهان ما
The paths of truth from proof have been
من تملى بكلامي
Whoever recites my words
رأيت ببحر الغيب جيشا عرمرما
I saw in the sea of the unseen a speckled army
إذا العبد أحيى الله بالدين قلبه
When the servant enlivens his heart with religion
زعمت نفسك أني جاهل
You claimed I was ignorant,
يا شفائي إذا السقام تولى
O my remedy when illness comes upon me,
عليكم وإلا فالبكاء مضيع
Without you, weeping becomes lost
عهدت طريقتنا أصولا خمسة
Our path has been founded on five principles:
رف الغرام بقلبي
Love fluttered in my heart
يا من لكم بمهجتي رفارف
O you whose tenderness stirs emotions in me
وطد فؤادك كلنا عشاق
Strengthen your heart, we are all lovers
يا آلهي بدولة الأسماء
O my God, with the states of names
تركونا أي قوم تركوا
They left us, which people left us
عللونا بذكر سادات سلع
Grant us the balm of mentioning chief men,
بمعراجنا طر أنت للفلك الأعلى
With our ascension, you fly to the highest celestial sphere,
عوجا إلى الوادي المقدس بالسرى
Turn, O camel drivers, to the holy valley discreetly,
الحمد لله لي للمصطفى نسب
Praise be to Allah, I belong to the lineage of Al-Mustafa
قالوا الحمى قد جيس من أطرافه
They said the sacred lands have been defiled at their borders
إن راعك الخصم الحقود بصولة
If a hostile foe assaults you in a fight
بين الكتائب والكثبان جلجلة
Between the battalions and the dunes a tumult
أطلع الحسن من سناك هلالا
Beauty shone from your cheeks like a crescent moon
كم نشرنا من طامس وطوينا
How many a weakened one we have revived
نعم الصباح أتى بذكر محمد
What a beautiful morning that recalls Muhammad
قف بدر نعمان وضاحا بمنزلة
Stand still bright moon at Nu'man abode
ما قول هند إذا ما صدها القدر
What can India say when fate opposes it
أظبي بطاح الأبرقين بحق من
I blame the one in white robes by the right of one
جسمي من الكرب المبرح قد عفا
My body worn by unremitting grief is healed,
عجبت لهذه الدنيا أقامت
I'm amazed at this world that's built
أدار أحبتي والحب دين
My loved ones turned away though love is faith
أسكرت أهل الوحا خمرتنا
Our wine has intoxicated the people of spiritual discovery,
دعونا البطين المرتضى في ملمة
Let us invoke the chosen intercessor in hardship
إياك عن عظم الغني من غفلة
Beware of belittling the wealthy out of heedlessness
متى يشتفى القلب المقرح يا سعد
When will this wounded heart heal, O Saad?
إطرح الدنيا ولا تعبأ بها
Cast off this world and pay it no heed
إذا ما ذكرنا حيدرا في مهمة
When we call on Haydar in an ordeal
منن الرفاعي الرفيع الهمة
From Refa'i the noble, great in resolve
أبكي وبدري بالجمال توارى
I weep, and my moonlight of beauty has vanished,
صين سري ومدمعي عنوانه
My secret's China, and my tears its title;
خبط الظلام ولألأ الفجر
Darkness stumbled and dawn glittered
لا تنكر الحكم في مضمون نكتته
Do not deny wisdom in the meaning of his joke
ما رفرف السعد إلا في محاضرنا
Our auspicious stars have only shone in our gatherings,
دار الولي إذا ما مات عامرة
The dwelling of the saint, when inhabited,
أبرز هذا وطمس
He brought this forth and erased it
قمنا لنساوت النبي مثالا
We arose to emulate the example of the Prophet
ما أحسن الصباح لما انبلجا
How beautiful is the dawn when it shines
ما رده الباغي إذا ردت به
When the tyrant is turned back by the august hands,
قالت غزيلة الغوير
The melody of love said:
كانوا ربيعا للقلوب
They were a spring for hearts,
تنفست ريح الصبا
The morning breeze breathed
حزب الغيوب أتانا
The party of the unseen came to us
كم رجت الأرض بالأعداء واضطربت
How the earth quaked with foes and was troubled,
طلع الفجر لعمري
The dawn has risen, by my life,
ماذا تريد سليمى من خلي يد
What does Sulayma want from an empty-handed friend?
روق كؤوسك هذا الوقت قد راق
Quaff your cup, for this is the time, were you to grant freedom.
أي عين رأت حبيبي ونامت
What eye has seen my love and then slept,
وردت نياق الحي منهل رامة
The camels of the living tribe came to Rama's water spring
بين النجوم وبين مسبار الضحى
Between the stars and dawn's probe
رفرف السعد رغم كل حسود
Glory fluttered despite every envier
هذي العزيمة لما طار طائرها
When her resolve took flight
قف أيها المفتون فينا واتئد
Stop, O you who are infatuated with us, and settle down,
سلام على أطلال علوى وإن تكن
Peace be upon the ruins of my beloved, though now
روح القلب تارة بالمباح
Refresh the heart at times with the lawful,
أشكو إلى الله تباريح الهوى
I complain to God of the tribulations of passion,
تثبت ولا تغضب إذا راح كاذب
Be patient and don't be angry if a liar
إلهي بما أوليتني منك رحمة
My God, with the mercy you have bestowed upon me
منهاجنا أوله محبة
Our path, its beginning is pure love
مذ انطوت القلوب على هواكم
Since hearts have been devoted to your love,
قرأنا بجفر الغيب سبعة أسطر
We read in the book of the unseen seven lines
عليك سلام الله أفرطت يا مي
God's peace upon you, O Mayya, you have gone too far
يا قلب كل الكائنات الذي
O heart of all creation that
آه من نار فؤآده لم يزل
Oh, the fire in his heart has not ceased
ما عرفت الولي إلا بدلق
I knew not the saint but by his gentleness,
ودار بها قوم كرام ألفتهم
And a house wherein dwell honored people I got to know,
تجرد من مكابرة وجحد
Strip away stubbornness and denial
لله أن يختار من أحبابه
It is for God to choose from among His loved ones
الأولياء لهم جاه ومنزلة
The saints have status and rank,
يا بارقا قد تلوى
O lightning that twists and turns
الغيب صف مواكبه
The unseen has lined up its processions
أزعج الليل الندامى
The sleepless reproached the night,
قرأنا معاني السر فالحكم ظلهر
We read the meanings of the secret, so the wisdom became apparent
كلفت بحبكم وجدا وإني
I was tasked with loving you passionately
طرنا بأجنحة الغرام إليكم
We flew to you on the wings of passion
يا رب بكل بارز غيبي
O Lord, with every hidden secret
طيبوا بنا نحن طيب
Be kind to us, for we are kind
من لجسم من لوعة الهجر بالي
For a body worn by the agony of separation
هذه واسط أم ذا حلم
Is this a medium, or one with dreams?
علام الهموم وفيم العنا
Why sorrow and for what purpose lament
يا قلب ذبت تولعا ما هذا
O heart, you have melted with yearning, what is this?
فوق قاف القلوب وانيراني
Above the lines of hearts, my guide is shining
غراميات قلبي في هواكم
My heart's passions are in love with you all
قل لمستصغرنا عن حسد
Tell the one disparaging us out of envy
البرق لما لمعا
When lightning flashed
قسما بحبك وهو في دين الهوى
I swear by my love for you, though it contradicts devotion
تدرع بدرع البغي يا طامس القلب
You are armed with the armor of spite, O one who buries his heart
يا عيون النرجس الغض ألا
O eyes of the tender narcissus, do not
أرى سيرة الوراث وراث أحمد
I see the biography of Ahmad's inheritors,
قد أجمعوا كيدهم قوم وقد جمعوا
They have gathered their cunning, a people, and they have gathered
أتانا الهوى العذري من حيث لا ندري
Love came to us unknowingly
أأم عبيدة أقلقت ركبي
O mother of Ubaydah, you have wearied my knees
حبكم علم الأنين فؤادي
Your love has taught my heart to pine,
لا تشوش لك سرا
Do not confuse yourself with secrets,
يا آخذا بيد الضعيف إذا وهت
O you who takes the hand of the weak when his determination falters
لحزبك في أقصى المهامه رابات
Your party in the farthest adversity has partners,
دع وهم أهل الوحدة المطلقه
Leave the illusion of absolute oneness
لأهل بطاح الحي في سدرة العلى
For the people of Bitaah al-Hayy in Sidrat al-Ulya
برق حبيبي برقا
My beloved's lightning flashed
وكم مرة طفنا بأم عبيدة
How often we sailed along Umm Ubaydah
والذي علم القلوب المعاني
He who taught hearts their meanings
خل الهوى وأهله
Leave passion and its people alone,
طراز سر له في سمك قبته
A secret symbol lies in the dome's thickness,
رمق الطرف كليلا نورهم
Their gaze's light dimmed slightly
صاحب أولي الذوق واغنم من مجالسهم
Seek out companions of refined taste, and gain
رأت أطلال سلما بعد بعد
She saw the ruins of Salma in the distance
رعى الزمان فرأى العجائبا
Time shepherded and saw wonders,
أبو السبطين جلجلة التجلي
Abu al-Sibtayn, pride of manifestation,
وآيات ألواح رقمن مع العما
The signs on the tablets were inscribed with the pen,
ها أين يا ريح الصبا
Where are you, oh breeze of the morning,
أطلق الصب في الهوى تقييده
The morning star released its bondage to passion
سر بطريق الله حتى المنتهى
Journey in the path of God to the utmost end
أعد ذكر من نهوى فنحن على الهوى
Remember the one I yearn for, for we abide
رقمت في معارفي الأشياء
Things were given their proper places in my knowledge,
قولوا لشخص سمعنا
Tell someone we heard
هب النسيم فسار بالأسرار
The breeze blew softly, carrying secrets
سرنا على شطط النوى بجمالكم
We walked along the paths of intent with your beauty,
يا كاشف الضر عن أيوب يا سندا
O Remover of harm from Job, O Support
أرأيت سوق الحب كيف يقام
Have you seen the market of love, how it is set up?
دني العزم همته دنيه
The one with lowly resolve, his ambition is lowly
قد تداعت من الأقاح خيوط
The threads were dangling from the bushes
هجم العدو بخيله وبرجله
The foe attacked with his cavalry and infantry,
يا عليل القلب ما أغفلكا
O ailing of heart, how oblivious you’ve been
ما على عاشق الحبيب ملامة
The lover of the beloved is not to be blamed
للحق نور ليس يحجب ضؤه
The truth has a light that no darkness can obscure,
القلب يفزع في المهمة ضارعا
The heart trembles in distress, pleading
رأى برق العقيق الفجر لاحا
He saw the flash of ruby dawn emerge
أما والهوى العذري يا اخت عامر
O sister of Aamer, I swear by my innocent love,
شروق بغربي اللوا لألأت لنا
The dawns in my western twilight have arrived for us,
تعلمنا الإشارة في طريق
We learned gestures on the path
هو الوجد لا شيل هناك ولا حط
It is passion, neither burden there, nor luggage,
مطلسم القوم لا تهمل مكانته
The silent one of God's servants, though ignored, has esteem
فرحت بكم وطاب لباب قلبي
I rejoiced in you and my heart was delighted
في كل عصر من علي واحد
In every age, there is one from the Family of Ali
ولما دعينا والدجا في غلالة
When we were called, amid the darkness of night,
إذا كنت في باب النبي فلا تخف
If you are in the door of the Prophet, have no fear,
محاضر القوم لا تترك بها الأدبا
The gatherings of the people, do not abandon proper behavior in them
أراكم بعيني أين كانت شخوصكم
I see you all wherever your forms were
أجل نظرا في الكائنات ترى العجب
Indeed, reflecting on creation, you see wonder
ما طوى الركب شقة الأرض يوما
The riders never crossed the rugged earth
ولما تلافينا التلال بلعلع
When we bypassed the hills in procession
أحيباب قلبي والمحبة دينها
My beloved ones, and love is its religion,
شرافة الشوق لا زالت تطول إلى
The loftiness of yearning still continues to rise
ظهر بأعباء الغرام قد انحنى
A back bent with the burdens of passion,
عظم أبا البركات واعرف شأنه
Exalt the father of blessings, and know his worth,
للقوم في حضرة التصريف ديوان
The people have in the presence of destiny a book
قلوب الأولياء لها سيوف
The hearts of the saints have swords
جاس الحمى خصم بصولة وهمه
The cup of ardor is an opponent of delusive fancy
أفيضوا لنا يا أهل أم عبيدة
Pour forth upon us, O people of Umm 'Ubaydah
لله من جفن هملن دموعه
For God's sake, he whose tears have dried from weary eyelids,
عرج بعيس القوم يا حاديها
Take the people's roundabout route, O guide,
يا إلهي يا معين العاجزين
O my God, O helper of the helpless
أما والنجوم المشرقات من العلى
By the shining stars above,
غرامي عن ضميري ترجماني
My passion translates my conscience,
صاح إن مسك الزمان بخطب
If time afflicts you with unsettling events,
بالله يا ريح الصبا
By Allah, O morning breeze
زاحمتنا بوهمها أسماء
Her delusions have crowded us out, with names
والله لولا الله ما اهتدينا
By Allah, without Allah we would not be guided,
دع طيش نفسك لا تسمع دعاويها
Ignore your soul's whims, do not listen to its claims
محبتنا لجنس الأولياء
Our love for the righteous people,
من بات ملتحفا في ذيل منقبتي
He who spent the night wrapped in the train of my robe
هل البرق نجدي أم البرج متكين
Is the lightning Najdi or are the towers of Muthakkain?
بروح رسول الله ينهج للرب
بالله يا سائق الأظعان خذ خبرا
إذا أنت حدقت البصيرة والبصر
كتب الظلام على الوجود سطورا
أتيت إلى بابك الأمنع
سمحت أبا سليمان التدلي
لي قلب في الحب مضنى عليل
برق حماهم ينجلي
غنى الهزار على روض العرار بكم
دمعي كسيل تنمنم
رأى حاسدي شأني فخامره عمى
طريقتنا للخارقات وسيلة
يا إلهي بمحكم القرآن
يا ابن الرفاعي الذي ذاته
قل للذي فينا تمسك مخلصا
ساعة تولى المعنى أنسكم
أحكمت دولة العلى تبجيلى
يا شمس طيبة بل شمس الوجودات
شب الفؤاد بغير رأيي طائرا
قضيت ببلدة المختار عاما
محمد أجرت نوالا
قف بالركاب فهذه الأطلال
كل حال لا بد آنا يحول
كثر الصنوف وأنت أنت الواحد
سألت آرام نجد
أبدا تلذ بذكرك الأوقات
سقط الفحول عن الأرائك

لعمري أبو العباس أعلم من طوى
ما خاب من أنا بالطريق بناؤه
أقلق الحاسد مني
رغبنا بأسرار الشهود لوجهكم

مدعي العصمة كذاب ومن
أورد الدلو لعقد الكرب
لنا بنفي شؤون الغير إثبات
يا لفتة الظبي من غربي لعلع في
ضمن القلوب مفاتيح السموات
بشر أناسا كأني اليوم أبصرهم
يرج القلب حال الحب رجا
أيها الفجر النسيمات شذت
خذوني إلى أرض المدينة إنني
بين بطاح حيهم والأبطح
خفق الفؤاد لذكر سعد
وحد الله ولا تشرك به
بدر حسن راق العيون شهوده
والحواميم وهي أقسام مثلي
هو البدر أم وجه الحبيب الذي يبدو
رفعت بسري كل أمري لسيدي
لي في سماء الحمى الشرقي أقمار
لنا بفيفاء أرض الشام بادية
ما الفخر إلا للذين تواضعوا
من رام جمع الناس في مذهب
أصاحب بيتي إن في مسدل الخفا
قد قام ينفخ داعي الصور في الصور
سينسج لي بسمك الكون بدر
من زار منقطع العلائق حيشا
لقد وعظ العذال وجدي بشأن من
رقرق الكأس حبيبي
ما للفؤاد بكم طرق
نحن شموس الحضرة المشعشعه
طار نحو الحبيب شحرور قلبي
رفرف غصن البان لا بمرق
مر حبيبي ووقف
أنت أهل المعروف يا معروف
رح مع الوردين إني عاشق
ونغمة من أيمن الحي أتت
قل لهذا الليل مهما شئت طل
لولاك لم تلو في الآفاق بارقة
قسما بثائرة الغرام المذهل
أصاحب بيتي كل ما قام في الورى
يستغرب الخب أن نعلو وقد برزت
لنا رفرف من دونه الفلك الأعلى
رأينا بديباج الوجود خيالكم

رعى الله أيام الغوير وإن أضنى
تبرقعت في مرط الخفا عن فصائلي
قل استريحوا بني الدنيا فمذهبنا
كل وقت له من القوم شيخ
يحسد الحاسد عبدا
إذا ما صغت في المحبوب نظما
الخب ميال مع الشبهات
ما أحيلي ليلى وما أبهاها
الله يا هلا لهم
إليك أيا رباه والليل فاحم
إلهي تدارك بالشفاء وبالرضا
جلا سر الغيوب لنا الصباح
لله في هذه الأكوان أفراد
يربي الحكم حقا ثم بطلا
آل النبي الطاهر المصطفى
وحياتكم يا أهل منعرج اللوى
لله في كشف الكروب لطائف
إلى اللجف العلي تساق منا
ألا يا ابن عم المصطفى لحظة لمن
قلبي منكم خائف خافق
قالوا تحب عليا قلت مبتهجا
لا تعنف مولها أحمديا
يقولون فيمن تقتدون بنهجكم
تبوأ إذا ضاق الخناق ظلالنا
يا حداة العيس مهلا فالحمى
أين يا حادي النياق الخيام
أبعد توكلي وصحيح عهدي
تجرأ حزب الجاحدين كما تشا
سر واترك العيس على حالها
إذا الحق أخفته الجسوم بغوشها
من لمن ذاب غراما
