1. Our path has been founded on five principles:
The oneness of our Creator and love of Mustafa,

2. Adhering to the noble law with conviction,
In spite of those who are content with lies and raving.

3. Loving the Masters from among his descendants,
And his companions - nay, the adherents to them.

4. And love of al-Rifā‘ī the succor, who
Followed the way of the Prophet, conforming to his proof.

5. These five, if enumerated, are principles
In them lies the cure for the heart’s ills through spiritual wayfaring

6. So make realizing them a podium for your glory
And when you ascend by them, you will transcend the world.
