1. This existence upon your path is a gesture,
And in blindness, your meaning is lights from the past.

2. The secrets of your affairs established signs,
In the realms of the universe, mysteries and blessings.

3. No spark of light flashed
Except that it had a special splendor from you.

4. Nor did bodies shudder in any soul,
Except that revival from you was infused into it.

5. The manifestations of the sanctuaries derived their essence
From the sun of your sanctity, thus they glitter.

6. How strange is the separation between the two secrets,
They are two proofs: revival and annihilation.

7. Revelation and concealment with the ascension of contemplation
From their two universes arose manifestation and erasure.

8. Grasping and releasing from the circumstances of their phases
In the world of creation are prevention then giving.

9. Creation and command stood firm, and the cosmos turns
On what circulated between them - placement and elevation.

10. A canopy in the thickets of knowledge was erected,
And in all of it the seen and the unseen circulated.

11. Until its dome loomed on the horizon,
And the land was folded, rounded and demolished.

12. And Adam was created with ancient craftsmanship,
As he was established, from him came clay and water.

13. The light clung in him from the flank of a mountain,
Which Moses touched on the Mount causing him to swoon.

14. Sanctified, protected in a treasury,
That swam in an ocean of light, while all else was dark.

15. And since that temple flowed within him,
Knowledge, comprehension and names gushed forth for him.

16. Thus the content of a treasure from its branching,
Caused matters to stand, and people said what they wished.

17. Ignorance and knowledge, and all people are a group,
Dead and alive through ignorance and knowledge.

18. From the subtleties of the universe, problems diversified,
And the judgment regarding them are different opinions and views.

19. This one walks straight without hesitation,
While the other wanders astray with lies and slander.

20. Oh what confusion has overcome a people!
And minds are afflicted with the disease and the cure.

21. Indeed, the intellects of people are helpless in doctrine,
Thus in its two layers are misguidance and guidance.

22. And in the delicate fabric of choice,
Is the wisdom of justice in granting gifts.

23. Therefore, the hearts of all messengers came to you,
With what we knew you, O Lord of Highness, disappointed.

24. A wave flowed from the source of origination,
To the minds of a people, thus inspiration and suggestion.

25. It split the rock of hearts when it overflowed to them,
While they were sealed by the stamp of traditionalism.

26. So it shook them, and the warner's downpour opened them,
With two grasps, revealing the hollow and corrupt within.

27. The hearts of the noble people softened to its flow,
After they had come, from wherever it came to them.

28. Two paths the state of their affair made clear,
One is dark, and the other is white.

29. This book which the prophet came with
Is an eraser on the path of God, pure and shining.

30. It revealed arcane mysteries in riddles,
Which none can unlock except the brilliant ones.

31. It comprised knowledge of revelation splendidly,
As the dot comprises the eye within it subtly.

32. And Muhammad immersed in its depths, comprehending it,
And he came to us with news from it.

33. As if the world’s years were but a single one,
And after what came, all else were shooting stars.

34. With the sword of justice, he destroyed multitudes, which is
Destroying injustice, thereby keeping justice alive.

35. He made the protected people taste from the cup of resolve,
That which the meem and haa (Muhammad) protected.

36. A freedman from the corners of holiness, extracted
By the hand of prophecy, uncorrupted by old age.

37. In his nectar and avoidance is dawn,
In it from command are bliss and misery.

38. If conveyed by a transmitter related verbatim,
The opening of success aids him in dictation.

39. A spirit encircles in the heart of one who knows his state,
While the face of rejection is barren ignorance.

40. Of his affair in time is a changing state,
And from the light of morn comes shrouding in darkness.

41. The meanings of night and day in their cycles
Are from the Judge of decrees, intervals and timings.

42. They follow continuously, so the secret established between them
Causes darkness then light in constant succession.

43. Adam's creation for originating proof
Came for it and for this secret, Eve.

44. An explanation of an ambiguity with the extension of
The knowledge of the Messenger - but who recites the line?

45. O nation! You rejected the proof of his argument,
As if you are a deaf and blind nation!

46. This is the truth - none contend with it.
And in multiplication is transgression and disregard.

47. One of foolishness multiplies the truth through lies,
While his eye is skewed from touching misguidance.

48. If the criterion of fairness enlightened hearts among them,
Rejection and hatred would not have overwhelmed them.

49. Indeed, the proofs do not escape one whose path is straight,
Unless wandering misguides him in his course.

50. The parables of meanings poured unto the essence of its composition,
Then varied in understanding depending on perception.

51. And the speaker of truth - his reality does not change,
Even if the fickle babble on with substitution.

52. A secret they confided to the people of hearts, so take
From it symbols, for the secret is not divulged.

53. The difference between the types of congregation is consistent,
And the congregation bears witness to subtle collecting.

54. The truth distinguishes it with separation then returns it
As divisions, and in the matter are stripping and cloaking.

55. And where can events be combined in eternity
From His essence? In it is transcendence and sublimity.

56. Presiding over the forms of effects was
An overwhelming raid against divisions from His holiness.

57. Blessed is Allah - no era changes Him,
Nor does any description equate to Him in attributes.

58. A singular, eternal, magnificent, one, only,
To Him belong eternal attributes and names.

59. Transcendent above the features of origination, so in
The realm of temporalness are changes and trials.

60. And in directions, occupation - and He is most high, so does not
Occupy a direction, for occupation belongs to the occupied.

61. Contemplating the command and assimilation is
Slippery, in it from Satan is temptation.

62. So hold to the religion of the Zealous one whose law
Is light, and the light of God has no extinguishing.

63. And avert your desire, steeped in his way,
For desire has slender and delicate ones among the world.

64. And submit to God if you follow his path,
For in presence are the lowly and the exalted.

65. Exert effort and strive, and pay the reckless no heed,
For in the path, disregarding them is easier.

66. The mothers of evil deeds have for them
From the burden of their children, impure progenitors.

67. And take, when you make the ground your pillow, a deed
That will remain when the corrupt depart.

68. And stand at the door with lowered wing, and be
A servant, and from you the heart's delusions cease.

69. Some groups attempted to unite, but He returned them
Dead, while in the belly of assumption alive.

70. For the knowers of the door of separation, their stance,
And the pure prophets of renown, eminent.

71. Some spoke of union, and rambled on incarnation,
And their collision in religion is thick chaos.

72. If the problem of the impossible state befell them,
Their parts would not be freed through transformation.

73. The arrogant of ignorance from the devil of themselves
Assaulted, so the pitch faced them blackened.

74. They said we tread a path without crookedness in it,
Yet in it is a bridge of idolatry, humped.

75. Leave what they falsely claimed of their decorations,
And be astute - the opportunities for success are sincere.

76. It pulls the necklace of servitude from its flow,
A lonely orphaned pearl from the necklaces of opening.

77. And tread the path of Imam Rifaah, for he
Attained by it the presence of beloved intimacy.

78. The doctrine of truth settled by it,
Yet the vile folk almost demolished it.

79. He called to God with knowledge, so
The elite of the unseen answered him, fathers and sons.

80. And closed every path of unacceptable access
To the Messenger, thus the mother of misguidance is muted.

81. And how many hearts did stagnation permeate, since
He inspired them for God, purely?

82. The caveats of the masters - their goal -
In the beginning of his journey he made clear.

83. As the mountain he was not shaken by coddling in a time
When for steeds is neighing with coddling.

84. His gentle breeze in devotion to God
From the orientation of states is heated passion.

85. As if he astonished riders when seen,
And how many ahead of the competitor did he surpass!

86. His father is from the orient of Az-Zawra, a guiding sun,
Whose setting flowed, and the journey is nocturnal ascent.

87. Until it settled at the bosom of Al-Kazimiya, in
An arena of light, darkened before by clouds.

88. They straightened the bow of Baghdad - indeed they are
Its pillar, else the pillar of Az-Zawra is bent.

89. And from them is the renewal of Abul Abbas, a youth
Who is the conscience alluded to by the pronoun “huwa” (he).

90. His noble deeds overflowed in the kingdom, so
The whole of domains and regions rejoiced at his overflowing.

91. The spirit of the Immaculate folded in unveiling his temple,
A state whose sign among the family is Az-Zahraa.

92. And Al-Hadi pledged to him the ways,
Whose reins are what gives the cosmos composure.

93. And by it, how many atrocities in the cosmos were veiled,
And by it, how many were exposed by God openly!

94. The caveats of the pole masters - their goal -
In the beginning of his journey he made evident.

95. Calm the claims based on a letter, and you will find by them
A sun whose stars they are wherever they shine.

96. His proof is an overwhelming argument in conduct,
In it from concluding and distancing is affirmation.

97. The path of one who strays from it is all misguidance,
Followed by misguidance, winding and jagged.

98. The symbols of knowledge he revealed after they were covered,
Erased, and the brilliant ones demonstrated them.

99. The pens of his wisdom in his book inscribed
Revelation with ink of holiness they oozed.

100. They penetrated into the treasures of mystery, unveiling
Arts that the few people recognize.

101. He journeyed singularly, uniquely, and his banner
In the prime procession of divinity is green.

102. And he traversed the darkness of illusions and doubts, and
For the party of his followers among the folk there are no equals.

103. His merits whitened the cheek of the world,
And if one seeks to number them, it cannot be enumerated!

104. The subtleties of mystery from the signs of his resolve,
To them in the heart of the cosmos is suggestion.

105. As if his abode in every land,
And from his majesty the living shiver.

106. The bride of a state of gnosis appears to the people of meanings
From his realities, a chaste bride of mystic knowledge.

107. Upon him is the pleasure of the Lord of the Throne whenever
A sun has shone and the dawn has not blamed the late evening.
