1. I weep, and my moonlight of beauty has vanished,
And my sighs have filled the empty spaces.

2. Like a ship in the belly of a raging sea,
Whose heart burns to travel on.

3. My caravan hastens to the caravan of my beloved's heart,
O embers of my passion, blaze through the lands!

4. My path beside your path to my yearning home,
If you can take me to the Lord of the house.

5. And you, my heart, settle down and cease your burning love,
And be patient with your absent beloved, perhaps

6. The wheel of fate will change its traces.
Make righteous patience your friend through the days,

7. For patience reveals mysteries.
Beware of despair, O my heart, for they

8. Are my Lord's decrees revealing destinies.
Think good thoughts of your Creator, for time and again,

9. In the blink of an eye, He relieves distress.
And how many a drowning soul in raging waves

10. Crying out, He has saved from death's grasp!
And how many a man lamenting fate's cruel bite

11. He has soothed with patience that tames death's bitterness.
The signs of His power and the purity of His affairs

12. Have confounded thoughts with their majesty.
O you who at dawn rose in anger like turbulent waves

13. Or a great fish roaming the desert!
Rely on Him when the days show their colors,

14. And the salt of events pours forth.
Return to Him with a sincere heart.

15. He destroys and creates all that exists.
Stretch out your palms to Him and come as a suppliant,

16. Do not hope for help from another.
Take the Prophet as your intercessor, for he

17. Is the Chosen One, shining among the watchmen.
The fount of knowledge, the proof and wisdom,

18. The most illustrious of Messengers, a guiding star.
The ascension of souls to their Lord,

19. His journey took him through the celestial spheres.
The system of the intricacies of the Furqan,

20. His exegesis contains all tidings.
With a single dot of his composition he makes clear

21. An ocean; with one hint of his insight a shower.
The Sultan of the line of Prophets and their guide and mentor,

22. Protecting them from the madness of tribulations.
So seek refuge in Him, He will mend a rebellious heart;

23. And your Lord creates protectors.
This eminent man in the sight of God,

24. This one who rose to help all who called.
His Master gave him the gift of intercession

25. As He wove sunlight into the day.
Sufficient for me is your station, O Muhammad,

26. If my fate rebels and I dwell in your shade.
I have alighted with my mounts in your sanctuary, hoping

27. Through your eminence to erase my sins.
For God displayed you in His Kingdom

28. To veil disgrace and erase all shame.
And He established in you relief for every broken heart,

29. Succor with a breath of His gift, the Almighty.
May God bless you, O pillar of guidance,

30. As long as riders journey to Madinah.
And your family and your companions, the primeval blossoms,

31. As long as the dripping of dew nurtures flowers.
And those who follow them, as long as a guide

32. Calls to people lost in the valley.
