1. Do not confuse yourself with secrets,
All this universe is transient,

2. Veils have arisen for the eye,
Filled with trinkets.

3. All are spreading and folding,
For one who knows the preoccupations.

4. Layers of people have passed,
And those caravans departed.

5. How many a prophet, saint,
Ruler, and worker;

6. And pious and wicked,
And coward and fighter;

7. And sad and happy,
And loyal and betrayer;

8. And generous and miser,
And my brother of knowledge and ignorant;

9. And prince and lowly,
And active and languid;

10. And wealthy and poor,
And gallant who spends and asks;

11. They left flying and went
Under layers of tombs.

12. So ask the lowlands about them,
Even if they answer one who asks.

13. Those meanings are folded
And those gatherings have gone.

14. The distinguished people of glory are gone,
The peerless exemplars.

15. And my heart has become confused with them,
Those attributes.

16. It is as if all of them
Were carried and carrier;

17. And low and noble,
And brother of injustice and just;

18. And great knight, brave horseman,
And one with supple spear, rider on foot;

19. They murmured, so each
Galloped in it the steeds.

20. Do not arrange for yourself a matter,
Surely arrangement is preoccupying.

21. Submit the matter to God and leave the heedlessness of the heedless,
And raise the matter to Him,

22. And what is destined will happen.
The matter spread the meanings,

23. So tribes and clans,
This one going and that one

24. Meeting from the conscience of the unseen.
With the two matters is truly

25. None but God the Doer.
Trust in Him and leave others,

26. And tie in Him the means.
And take the Guide as imam,

27. For He is the proof of proofs.
He has made firm the matter and fulfilled

28. Truthfully all messages.
And follow the people, for among them

29. Is every accepted one, arrivers.
They knew God and truly

30. Other than God is false.
Do not separate from them, so one who separated

31. From the people of truth is not reasonable.
And ask the Merciful in the two abodes

32. Attaining hopes.
His righteousness and pardon to the virtuous

33. And sinner is all-encompassing.
And the prayer of God to the Chosen

34. From the most pure clans,
And the companions and family

35. Whose habit is spreading virtues.
