3. O people of Jir'a Al-Ghuwair, for your sake
Showing sympathy for my scorched innards

4. I cry when the lightning of your heights flashes
Yearning for you, while the matter is obvious

5. And I melt if the announcer sings to me about you
Wearing the gown of sincere intention

6. Oh the pain of remoteness, for it
Aggrieves the heart, and does not see its form

7. And your life, O you whom I passionately desire
Pouring its tears and anguish

8. With every kind of fire ritualized
Passions stirred in it for the burnt ones

9. It left it while the pain therein is tenacious
It did not set out to express a homesickness by which

10. It seeks reunion but did not return folded
Be kind to it with a look that gives it life from

11. The death of remoteness when remoteness is corruptive
How many times did I visualize you while I

12. In you domes that entrance me are built
And versified you in my mind as if I

13. Were in a sacred, fragrant garden
And glimpsed you with my inner sight as if it

14. Depicts those faces buried in my vision
For your beauty a dwelling in the folds of my heart

15. And over it a robe of blissful clay
My love for you was molded in the form of my essence

16. With my constitution since before its folds were spread
And your secrets took hold in my mind

17. It and passion a hidden elegy
Far be it from you to sever my rope when

18. I was created loving your noble nature
I was absent from all but you, professing

19. The religion of passion and its total principles
Realized through my love for your excellence

20. And love is the echo whose secret is intrinsic
