Have you seen a lover who is blamed?

5. How many secrets of lovers are folded
Loyalty in love raised its flags

6. Yearning parched him, and he became an apparition
In him are signs of intense passion

7. The ardent lover perspires when
His mirror beholds him or hears his words

8. His heart ever throbbing, abstaining for ages
From all but love itself, fasting from all else

9. Would that I knew - for love is a wondrous thing
How many tears of passion are his provision

10. I am a man crazed with love
My heart drinking its fill from his love

11. None disappeared from my eyes' witnessing
Except my heart arose for him on Judgement Day

12. I swear by passion and sincere love
We see truth pleased with its oaths

13. The caravan had not left for the city
Before my heart moaned like a dove

14. It went ahead of the litters like a bird
And pitched its tents ahead of the caravan's camp

15. O you of beautiful perfection, when you set out
Towards the Abode of Guidance and House of Nobility

16. We preceded you, so journey leisurely
All know their station in the journey

17. We are a people who stand by loyalty
And we strive with seriousness and rectitude

18. And we attained the sanctuary through tears
Whose outpouring resembles the rain's harmony

19. And we laid our cheeks down in reverence
And delighted, so greet us with safety
