1. You trample the carpet of God while your heart is lost,
And eat the provisions of the people while hiding the secret.

2. You falsely claim your path is unclear to them,
Yet its meaning to you is clear and evident.

3. You betray the covenants of God after concluding them,
And the ugliest thing is for the covenant-holder to slip.

4. You attacked while the lion was absent,
So your eyes were awake though your heart was asleep.

5. Do you reckon God to be heedless in folly
And that Providence is sitting still from your nonsense prattle?

6. Our bounty upon you was a veil for what you have torn to pieces,
And for the meaning there is evidence and a witness.

7. We are the black of the unseen in the forest of probity,
Our sources preserved and resources replenished.

8. In the wilds of the land we have wonders,
And in the folds of mysteries profitable yields.

9. At the summit of glorious heights we have pulpits,
And in the field of lofty dignity we have mosques.

10. In the council of decree we have steadfast resolve,
And in the Lote Tree of the subtle secret we have feasts.

11. An arrow of deadly sharpness shall fold you,
Melting for its meaning even mountains of solid ice.

12. The swords shall take you from every side,
Neither the hot nor the cold affecting their keen edges.

13. So your sand is slipping and your creek dishonest;
Your resolve is lacking and your fancy excessive.

14. Your rope is fraying and your description ephemeral;
While your wealth in all the wilds is dwindling.

15. Consider us the spirit of every reality
To which in the Sublime Summit we give support.

16. From us comes the firm opening in struggle
Known to the people of zeal through witnessing.

17. None who came before in the order of existence
Surpassed our noble, striving forefathers.

18. They followed the path of the Master of the Two Sacrifices,
An ocean of mystical knowledge whose dimensions are worshipped.

19. A sea hurling forth pearls of gnosis,
From which necklaces for men of courage originate.

20. My people inherited the prime so I blazed forth,
And the star of my glory outshone the observatories’ sights.

21. Singled out am I in the order of succession,
My path marked by the ways of the Prophet and his inheritors.

22. My advent cloaked in the turbans of obscurity,
Upheld by the blossoms of glorious brows.

23. I fill all corners of existence without exception,
Perplexing your minds and confounding enviers.

24. I am the One veiled in the scrolls of the hidden,
The living proofs for the people of unveiling all bear witness to me.

25. One learned in the ways of mystery will recognize me praying,
And one keen of sight will behold me prostrate in devotion.

26. My cup overflowed with evidence and guidance,
So the thirsty drink while finders carry away.

27. I am the fluttering flag in Ahmad’s house,
Through me in God’s presence many a lost soul returns.

28. My men are men of security, righteousness and piety,
Their inner secrets poured forth into my heart.

29. Subtleties of my signs recited in wisdom’s chant
Are profitable lessons from the pure Prophetic Way.

30. My treasures were unveiled in vision’s glory,
Yielding up pearls for seekers in the spirit’s night.

31. This carpet shall be spread for me splendid,
With such might that sleepers will stir at its arrival.

32. Rejoice, O self-neglecting soul, in the self,
For our manifestation on the Day of Gathering is eternal.

33. While your star has dropped from the sky of care,
Ours ascends on the horizon of felicity.
