1. The herald came to Jacob with the news of Joseph
Welcome Joseph at the time Jacob was delighted

2. A caller rang in the path of hearing
So I got up rejoicing in an ecstatic state

3. This is the shirt of promise that touched me
On the eyes of my heart like the hand of my beloved

4. I saw after blindness that I was carrying
And the drink from the cups of nearness was pleasing to me

5. And I started witnessing Him in every appearance
And I started reading Him in everything written

6. And wakefulness confirms a state for me that stabilizes me
While annihilation brings out in me a stripped state

7. I did not fear, after witnessing His beautiful rising
The changing of my state with isolation and conjunction

8. If my affairs are sound and the affairs of the universe are invalid
Then by my life, that is my sought one

9. I stand while the night is pitch black in its worlds
And its tail is falling in a pulled form

10. Do I moan the bereavement of the Living having lost Him
And I regain crying like one infatuated?

11. And I entice the branches of intimation dwelling
Upon me are its birds listening to my youthful folly

12. My argument and the locking of the people's hearts
To every good - my journey is toward my wish

13. As if there will be a day when their sides are folded
Like well-loaded mounts with no loss

14. I fly with ecstasy while there is heaviness in my soul
So many times I said: O my blamer, repent!

15. Dancing women said to me: Be aware!
What is the matter with you wailing like one commissioned?

16. This happiness has come to you in floods
With its coolness mixed in the drink of the gift being poured

17. The Sublime spoke to you saying:
Arise, O son of the Messenger of God, my chosen one

18. So gather the disparate affairs that you take charge of
And come with the gentle hand of one who guides to good, my companion

19. I drew near at that time to the station of speech and I
Incorporated excellent diction in my answer

20. And the sum of my pretentiousness that I almost witnessed
The position of my status or the imaginations of the overwhelmed appeared to me

21. And I stood up from my presence, and intimacy gathered me
And the Messenger of Allah took charge of my education

22. I controlled my jurisprudence with the illuminations that came to me
With the text, not with the meanings of gifted understanding

23. And every comer of inspiration that descends upon me
I restricted him with analogical reasoning that is not unfounded

24. And I said: O my lowliness, withdraw!
And o attachments of my soul, dissolve!

25. So the market of guidance from my father al-Zahraa' drove me
To Iraq, and the scent of perfume wafted

26. And it was said to me: Take the hand of the Sheikh of the reverent
For that is the most noble gain and gift

27. So I came, and the white brilliance preceded me
Wherever I went, and this is the clearing of my epidemic

28. I leaned towards Damascus and connected with it
And I stood by those sanctuaries

29. And afterwards, Basra became clear to me
After the ambiguity, and the fire of ecstasy rises with me

30. I visited the station, and Abraham, and my essence
Took it as a place of prayer after my estrangement

31. I placed a hand in a hand with indication beyond
A matter based on the pledge of acceptance and my education

32. And my sheikh was the greatest of the pillars
And the foremost of scholars, like the little nightingale

33. He cast upon me gentle gestures
Flourishing, having illumination and estrangement

34. My entire conduct is built upon them, all wise rulings
Like strung pearls in the elegant stringing

35. After returning to consciousness, I went seeking
The command of the heavens - I want the nearness of the observed

36. I reached Umm al-'Ibad when dawn for it
Had waves wherein are types of styles

37. For the sight of my secret, which brilliant spark
From that grave revived my dead attributed one

38. So I said: O my sight, rejoice in the presence!
And o Zulaykha of my soul, be fragrant with the meeting!

39. Praise be to Allah! This is the door of our master
Sheikh of the helpless, protector of all dependents

40. A young man who makes the nights tremble with his power
And everyone weary rests with him

41. From al-Husayn the unique pearl was selected whose orphan girl
Is the chaste one, fate of the youthful branches

42. One with a plain from the gardens of eternity around which
Every spiritual and noble angel circulated

43. We took pleasure in the collected works of sanctity at his tomb
Suspended with gifts of gifting, consecrated

44. And we knocked on the desert for him in health
Picking ecstasy by tearing our robes

45. He unleashed for us a meteor from the peak of his dome
Alive with a light poured upon the horizons

46. And a variety of composed pieces split open for my secret’s sight
They revived hearts that were buried by constriction, so they rejoiced

47. With their understanding without being read or written
From the elite lineage of the Imam al-Rifa’i

48. When it was sated with all types of wonders
This is the one who knocked down the pillar of ecstasy the day it swayed

49. With the robe of opening, but the swaying of the sought
This is the one who shook the sword of determination, volunteering

50. For God, and so he shook the fighters
This is the one whose chests of the people bear witness

51. The Guide stretched His right hand out to him for nearness
This is the tested one, antidote of hearts - so take

52. From him wishes and leave the claim of experiences
This is the noble one who grants life - how many

53. A difficult affliction was relieved from an anguished heart through him
This is the son of Fatima al-Zahraa’ and he is for her

54. After the Imams, truly the best attributed one
This is the one in whom the secret of victory stood

55. So whoever takes refuge in him will not be overwhelmed
This is the one veiled amongst the poles, their master

56. In every matter, with covering and cohesion
None failed to know honor from the Most High veiling him

57. Other than every ignorant veiled one
Upon Arslan and al-Jilani clouds rained

58. His tents after determination and terror
And seventy individuals were under his banner

59. Other than the attendants from those near and beloved
The Throne, the Pedestal, and the cosmos know him

60. Grant a line written in the Tablet of Holiness
The ambitions of the poles tossed about and gathered

61. Through him with the confirmation of an unstripped resolve
Stop at his brilliant thresholds reverently hopeful

62. And be at peace - you are not anguished and inhibited
And say unto you is the peace of Allah - take my hand

63. For the riding party traveled, and my riding animal is lame
