واعف بفضلك سيدي واصفح عن ال
Pardon me with Your grace, my Master, and forgive
على ميم وادي الرقمتين سلامي
On the valley of Rakamatayn my greetings I bestow
مستورة دار صبر
A house veiled in patience
قل لأحبابنا بسوح المقام
Tell our loved ones in the valleys of Al-Muqam
بعثت لجيران العقيق تحيتي
I sent my greetings to the neighbors at Al-‘Aqeeq
سلكنا الفيافي والقفار على النجب
We traveled the wilderness and barren lands over the hills
أبرق الحمى وقت السحير تلوح
The fever flashed at dawn, waving,
إلى متى لا تجف عيني
How long will my eyes not dry
هدى الله معشوق الجمال إلى الهدى
May God guide the beloved of beauty to guidance
يا جيرة الحي من زرد
O neighbor of the neighborhood from agate
إليك يا رب يا عالم بذات الصدور
To You, O Lord, Knower of innermost thoughts
بنفس أفدي خير من وطئ الثرى
I sacrifice myself for the best of those who tread the soil
تبلغ بالقليل من القليل
Achieve much with very little
ما بال جيراننا بالبان
Why have our neighbors turned away
ألا يا بخت من زارهم بالصدق وأندر
Alas! Happy is he who visits them with truthfulness and tenders
لك الخير حدثني بطبية عامر
Goodness upon you, inform me of the news of the populous Amir
ألا ليت شعري والفؤاد به ثأر
Oh, would that I knew if my heart will take revenge,
سقى الله بشارا بوابل رحمة
May Allah shower Bashar with rains of mercy,
يا نفس هذا الذي تأتينه عجب
O soul, this which you are doing is strange
ما طاب قلبي ولا فؤادي
My heart and soul find no joy,
عجبا للمطمئنين بدنيا
Wonder at those content with this life
يا من أرجي فيض فضله
O You whose bounty I hope for
إذا شئت أن تحيا سعيدا مدى العمر
If you desire to live happily all your life
الله لا تشهد سواه ولا ترى
My God, whom none but He is to be worshipped or seen
فيم الركون إلى حقيقتها
Why settle in a house whose reality
يا بهجة الحسن هل أراك
O beauty of charm, will I see you
مرحبا مرحبا بربع المصلى
Welcome, welcome to the corner of the mosque
من عاون الشيطان في ظلمه
Whoever aids the devil in his wrong
أهلا وسهلا بالظبي الأغيد
Hello and welcome, graceful gazelle
يا زائري حين لا واش من البشر
O visitor, when there are no people around
نسيم حاجر يا نسيم حاجر
O morning breeze, O morning breeze
خلها تجري بعين الله في
Let it flow with God's eye in
نحن في روح وراحه
We are in its spirit and relief
وصلي إلهي كل وقت وساعة
O my God, bless and salute Ahmad the Guide, the Intercessor, at every moment and hour.
كم بقلبي فيك من شجن
How much longing in my heart is there for you
تفيض عيون بالدموع السواكب
The eyes overflow with tears like stars,
وصلنا إلى الحي الذي دون المنى
We reached the neighborhood just before Munā,
ما للفؤاد يفيض بالأكدار
What ails my heart that sorrows overflow
خليلي إن الشوق قد كاد أن يبلى
My beloved, longing has almost worn me out
يا صاحبي إن دمعي اليوم ينهمل
My friend, today my tears flow
قصدت إلى العليا بهمة عاجز
I aspired to the highest with the ambition of one helpless
سلام على إخواننا والأحبة
Greetings to our brothers and loved ones
لله أحبابنا بالأبرق العلم
Our beloved ones in the flashing banner,
لجيران لنا بالأبطيحه
Our neighbors in Albatiha
يا جيرة بالمعهد اليماني
O neighbor at the Yemeni Institute
حي ظبي الرمال والأطلال
O breeze of the sand dunes and ruins
وصيتي لك يا ذا الفضل والأدب
My advice to you, O one of merit and courtesy
إن كان هذا الذي أكابده
If this which I endure
أجود بدمعي والدموع على الخد
I shed my tears, and tears upon my cheek
لا نسيم الصبا إذا هب وهنا
The morning breeze when it blows gently
سقلى الله ربعا حل فيه الذي أهوي
Allah has granted me a respite in which is my beloved,
يا سعد قف بي على الطلول
O Saad stop me at the hills
أحبتنا بنجد والصفيح
Our loved ones in Nejd and As-Safeeh
حي حياليا الوصل في وادي الغيد
The joining lives in the valley of Gheid,
ما حل قلبي ولا سكن
My heart found no peace or rest
يا جميل إن سر الله علي الخلق باق
O beautiful one, God's secret upon creation remains
ليس دين الله بالحبل
Religion is not by outward show,
نسمات الحي وهنا إذ سرت
The breezes of life blew here,
أهلا وسهلا بالحبيب الواصل
Welcome, welcome, my dear beloved
يا ظبي عيد ما في الحسن لك ثاني
O beautiful gazelle, your beauty has no equal
الحال يا أحبتنا ببشار
The state, O beloved ones, of good tidings
أنتم للعين والأثر
You are the utmost of hopes and aspirations
هواكم بقلبي والفؤاد مقيم
Your love resides in my heart, ever-present
لا تجزعن إذا بليت بشدة
Do not despair when you are afflicted with hardship,
يا منتهى الآمال
O ultimate hope
قل للذي قد لامني
Tell those who blame me
سلام سلام كمسك الختام
Greetings, greetings like a sealing musk
هل للذي جد بالأظعان يا حادي
O wayfarer, ask those who stop by the valleys,
خل عنك الهم يا قلب الحزين
Leave your worries, O sorrowful heart
يا ربنا يا ربنا
Our Lord, our Lord
لا تعش عن ذكر الإله فإنه
Live not without remembering God, for he
هون عليك نائب الدهر
Be gentle with the vicissitudes of fate
أنتم أنتم أحبة لقلبي
You are you, the beloved of my heart
يا أحمد الله بيسر كل ما قد تعسر
O Ahmed, God makes easy all that is difficult
غزال الحمى قلبي بحبك قد ملى
The gazelle of my love has wearied my heart with her love
مضى الصدق واهل الصدق يا سعد قد مضوا
Truthfulness has passed, as have the truthful, O Saad!
البدار البدار قبل الفوات
Make haste, make haste before it's too late!
يا سعد قلبي حزين
O Saad, my heart is sad
هبت رياح القرب والتداني
The winds of nearness and intimacy have blown,
يا هل لجيراننا بالمربع الخضر
O neighbors in the green square,
يا قل لأحبابنا يا قل لجيران

أبو بكر سر في طريق الله رب العباد
Abu Bakr walked the path of Allah, Lord of all creation
أدر ذكر سلمى وذكر سعاد
Recall the memory of Salma and the memory of Saad
يا نسيم الصبا هل من نبأ
O morning breeze, is there any news
يا ساكنين نعمان
O dwellers of Nu'man
أنا مشغول بليلي
I am preoccupied with my night
جزى الله خيرا سيدا وابن سيد
May Allah reward with the best, O noble sir and son of a noble one
ما في الوجود ولا في الكون من أحد
There is none in existence or in the universe
بشر فؤادك بالنصيب الوافي
Gladden your heart with the bountiful portion
ألا يا نفس ويحك كم تواني
Alas, O soul, what a procrastinator you are!
وكم محنة كابدتها وبلية
How much affliction I have endured, and tribulation,
يا نديمي فؤادي مرتهن
O my bosom friend, my heart is captive
يا من هواهم أقام
O you whose love settled
يلومونني واللوم ما أنا تاركه
They blame me, though blame I do not shirk,
يا قريب الفرج نسألك تجلي ذي الأكدار
O You Who are near to grant relief, we ask You to shine upon those in distress,
ما المنازل والمرابع لا تعي
The dwellings and resting places do not know me,
بروق الغور تلمع في الدياجي
The lightning of the deserts gleams in the darkness
خذ ما صفا ودع الكدر
Take what is pure and leave the murk,
قد كفاني علم ربي
My Lord's knowledge suffices me
أسفت على أيام عمر تصرمت
I regret the days of my life that have passed
مرحباً بالشادن الغزل
Welcome, oh gentle gazelle song
تذرى الدموع السواكب
Tears flow like stars
يا نسيم الأطلال
O breeze of ruins
سرى البرق من نجد فهيج لي شجوي
The lightning flashed from Najd so it stirred my yearning.
يا صاحبي وكنتما أنصارا
O my friend, you were supporters,
يا هاجري كم ذا تكون مهاجري
O you who left me, how long will you be away?
بصرت بركب الحي للحي سائرا
I saw the travelers passing through the abode,
دع الناس يا قلبي يقولون ما بدا
Let people say what comes to them, my heart,
حيا سليمان صوب العارض الهطل
Behold Sulaiman facing the pouring rain
ونبي الحمى من جانب الغور أبرقا
The prophet of fever flashed from the side of the valley,
أحسنت يا وجيه دين الله
You have done well, O eminent in religion,
زارني بعد الجفا ظبي النجود
My gazelle of charming beauty visited me after estrangement
يا صاح قلبي ما سلا ولا طاب
O friend of my heart that is not happy nor well
ألا يا صاح يا صاح
Oh friend, oh friend
يا صابرا اصبر وبشر من صبر
O you who are patient, be patient and receive good news
يا رسول الله يا أهل الوفا
O Messenger of Allah, O people of loyalty
بإحيا علوم الدين تحيا قلوبنا
By reviving religious sciences, our hearts come alive
من لم يبالي لم يبال به
خل إدكارك ربعا دارس الطلل
مرت لنا بالحمى المأنوس أعياد
أيها العبد لا تيأس
الله جل الله عن التكييف
إذا أنست من خل جفاء
أقوم بفرض العامرية والنفل
خذ يمينا خذ يمينا
يا نسيم الأسحار
سمح الزمان بوصل ريم الأجرع
سقتك غوادي السحب ربع الأحبة
طالت لياليك والأيام يا صاحي
شغف المحب بحب ظبية عامر
ليس هذا بعجيب
يا خيرة الحي عليكم سلام
يا وجيه إنها هب
أقول للناظم المجيد
الحمد لله الشهيد الحاضر
ولى الزمان وولت الأيام
الناس في ضيق وفي حرج
حويدي المطايا كم تقيم مع الصد
نعم عالم الأرواح خير من الجسم
يا رحمة الله زوري
ذكر العهد والربى والمنازل
يا سعد راح الوفى واهل وراح الجميل
يا وجيه الدين والكرم
العبد قد بناه
اليوم قلبي تذكر
إن القناعة كنز ليس بالفاني
يا من هواهم في فؤادي مقيم
عسى من بلانا بالبعاد يجود
حييت يا مربع الأحباب
يا راحلاً إن جئت وادي المنحنى
الشك والوهم رأس الشر والحذر
الحمد الله على كل ما
نحمد الله على الخير الكثير
إلزم باب ربك واترك كل دون
ألا يا نازلين على الكثيب
عليك بتقوى الله في السر والعلن
أمن الموت أجزع
يا رب يا عالم الحال
يا آخذا مني بأذيالي
أموت بدائي والدوا في يديكم
