1. Gladden your heart with the bountiful portion
From the nearness of your Lord, vast in kindness

2. The One, the King, the Great, so cling to Him
And drink from the purity of Oneness a limpid cup

3. And witness the beauty whose lights have shone
In everything apparent, nothing hidden

4. And at the gathering stand, letting go
Of all that passes, denying separation

5. And don for the Lord of the Throne in His decrees
A garment of submission, ample and flowing

6. And suffice yourself with your Lord, all concerns, for He
Glorified is He, the Bountiful, the Gentle, the Sufficing

7. And ask Him to clothe you in the garb of repentance
And guidance, wellbeing and blessings abounding

8. And thank for the blessings and persevere in tribulation
And adorn yourself with grace and evenhandedness

9. And hold fast to sincerity and honesty and spurn
Blameworthy traits and all their dressing

10. And take as companion piety, and be one of ambition
And chivalry, trustworthiness and propriety

11. And yearn for the abode of honor and permanence
And from baseness, my brother, hold yourself distant

12. And adhere to the Book of God and follow His way
And emulate your guide, as the ancients showed the path

13. The people of certainty, by His essence and truth
Who prayed and were gems of the noblest engraving

14. Certainty's wine is our most honored drink
So drink and live well and get drunk on the finest vintage

15. This is the drink of our masters and forebears
And misguided is he who differs in this matter
