1. To You, O Lord, Knower of innermost thoughts,
To You, O Lord, Director of all affairs,

2. To You, O our Lord, O Most Forgiving and Most Merciful,
To You, O Chosen One dressed in fine garments, Full Moon of full moons,

3. Muhammad, the Pure, whose light outshone all other lights,
And by the Pleasure with which the pure drink is watered,

4. Tomorrow, from the Basin on the Day of Assembly and Resurrection,
And by the daughter of Mustafa, the chaste and patient Virgin,

5. And by Al-Hasan who renounced the kingdom of the house of delusion,
And by Al-Husayn whom the dissolute people betrayed,

6. He gladly attained martyrdom and pleasure and joy,
And his killer calls out in intense heat and cold,

7. We ask you, by the People of the Cloak, to suffice us from evil,
And send down rain to water the palms and locust trees,

8. To give life to the land, water the barren spots and places of rainfall,
And give success to the living among us and have mercy on the people of graves.

9. They have slept - Send peace and blessings upon Ahmad, O all present,
And send greetings whenever the moon rises over the sand dunes,

10. And whenever it inclines towards the good land on pilgrimage.
