1. They blame me, though blame I do not shirk,
For siding with a party doubt did irk.
١. يَلومونَني وَاللَومُ ما أَنا تارِكُه
مُوالاةَ حِزبٍ أَصبَحَ الشَكُّ ما لِكُه
2. Drowning in seas of ignorance, washed up on shore,
His hopes under dust, his forts no more.
٢. غَريقٌ بِبَحرِ الجَهلِ مُشفٍ عَلى الرَدى
مَطالِبُهُ تَحتَ الثَرى وَمَدارِكُه
3. Truth amongst people obscured I see,
Its signs and paths all erased they be.
٣. أَرى الحَقَّ بَينَ الناسِ قَد ظَلَّ خافِياً
وَقَد دَرَسَت أَعلامُهُ وَمَسالِكُه
4. The squares of friends made vacant I find,
Its horsemen and soldiers left behind.
٤. أَرى مَربَعُ الأَحبابش قَد صارَ خاوِياً
وَفارَقَهُ فُرسانُهُ وَعَواتِكُه
5. What fate is this that I have met,
An age's spite and trials upset?
٥. فَلِلَهِ ما هَذا الَّذي قَد لَقيتُهُ
مَعَرَّةَ دَهرٍ وَطأَتي سَنابِكُه
6. A dear friend fortunes did jilt,
Another, far, perils did wilt.
٦. أُنادي قَريباً قَد سَبَّتهُ حُظوظُهُ
وَأَدعو بَعيداً أَسَرَتهُ مَهالِكُه
7. One drowning, one discouraging,
Who can you hold and keep clinging?
٧. فَهَذا غَريقٌ وَالأَخيرِ مُثبِطٌ
وَأَيُّهُما تَختارُهُ وَتُماسِكُه
8. Not with arrogance my soul I feed,
But beauty and its seekers I heed.
٨. وَما أَنا بِالمُختالِ زَهواً لِنَفسِه
وَلَكِنّي أَهوى الجَميلَ وَسالِكَه
9. I yearn for loftiness, but guarding the pass
Are horsemen of desire, obstacles amass.
٩. أَحِنُّ إِلى العَلياءِ وَقَد حالَ دونَها
فَوارِسُ سُلطانِ الهَوى وَفَواتِكُه
10. He who seeks glory with his soul
Will risk, before realms, battle's toll.
١٠. وَمَن يَبتَغي الأَمرَ النَفيسَ بِنَفسِهِ
يُخاطِرُ دونَ المُلكِ تَلَقّى مَعارِكَه
11. Come, O Hashimi partisans, unite!
For God's cause, despite enviers' spite.
١١. هَلُمّوا أَلُمّوا عُصبَةَ هاشِمِيَّةٍ
لِنُصرَةِ دينِ اللَهِ رَغماً لِآفِكِه
12. With God's help risen as one hand,
Tear the veil of evil, triumphant stand!
١٢. وَقوموا بِعَونِ اللَهِ قَومَةَ واحِدٍ
لِهَتكِ حِجابِ باءٍ بِالفَوزِ هاتِكِه
13. The dawn of justice pierces in,
The night of tyranny will thin.
١٣. لَقَد آنَ صُبحُ العَدلِ يَنشَقُّ فَجرُهُ
وَقَد حانَ لَيلُ الجورِ يَنزاحُ حالِكُه
14. Muhammad Al-Mahdi guidance inspired,
Among people, most pious admired.
١٤. بِطَلعَةِ اِبنِ المُصطَفى عَلَّمَ الهُدى
حَليفَ التُقى خَيرَ الأَنامِ وَناسِكُه
15. Allah's Caliph, leading aright,
With justice his reign upright.
١٥. مُحَمَّدُ المَهدِيِّ خَليفَةُ رَبَّنا
إِمامُ الهُدى بِالقِسطِ قامَت مُمالِكَه
16. In the Precinct I see him now,
Those from every party him allow.
١٦. كَأَنّي بِهِ بَينَ المَقامِ وَرُكِنها
يُبايِعُهُ مِن كُلِّ حِزبٍ مُبارِكُه
17. Through him the Lord religion renews,
Of his grandfather, right path rehews.
١٧. بَهِ يَنعَشُ الرَحمَنُ مِلَّةَ جَدِّهِ
وَيَحيى بِهِ دينِ الهُدى وَمَناسِكُه
