1. Greetings to our brothers and loved ones
Greetings as gentle as the morning breeze

2. And as soothing as musk when it passes by a sweet place
The breezes that blow through the winding valley when they blow

3. Greetings to the loved ones, though I am distant
From their dwellings, not out of dislike

4. For they have a place in my heart and memory
They are before my mind’s eye at all times

5. When I recall the times of connection in Dera
We had vast open lands and pleasant homelands

6. And a gathering of loved ones in every square
With joys of companionship and youthful chatter

7. My heart's eye wept with tears and blood
Oh my regret until I die of my regret

8. Oh my longing, the sorrow and pain in my heart
For the best of neighbors, the best of Arabs as neighbors

9. And I have hope in some remaining company
God has blessed them with his gaze

10. And drawn them near, pleased with them
And given them light, clear success, and mercy

11. And singled out the best of faith from them with his bounty
Additional kindness and gentle affection

12. Descendants of shaykhs of gnosis, mines of mysteries and mystic knowledge, the people of sainthood
We have from them excellent prayer and strong ties

13. In the rulings of the path’s knowledge
And from them we took and drew out the ways of spiritual truths

14. With honesty, love, and friendship
So in truth, let us take the sciences of their path

15. Hand in hand until the station of prophethood
Oh Ahmad of goodness and blessing, oh son named

16. With the highest honor among all people
After Idares the secret beyond his chastity

17. To the shaykh master of the gnostics, the imams
Ali son of Abu Baker Al Mulla, our imam

18. And pillar in conveying the knowledge of the Real
With your wondrous verses that you composed

19. I recalled bygone days of loved ones
How much did you evoke for me of passions

20. And awaken feelings in my heart and mind
May my God bless whenever the morning blows
