1. The gazelle of my love has wearied my heart with her love
Whether you wish to have mercy on me or pray for me

2. And do not think that I complained to you, no, never
Rather I am content with your judgment so be reasonable

3. You have control over my exterior and my innermost secrets
And if you do not know, O joy of my eyes, then ask

4. May Allah excuse my shortcomings toward you and my blaming
For they blame me unjustly though they acted the same

5. And whoever amongst them says no has failed to ascertain
The charm of her beauty bought me long ago

6. And my body was between water and quicksand
May she be guided by the doctrine of Fate and Destiny

7. So become guided as you lead and rise
And we bear witness that Allah is Majestic in His Greatness

8. And His Sovereignty in every state and gathering
Blessed is the Lord of the Throne, the Earth and the Skies

9. And all the wildernesses from the last to the first
To Him belongs the creation and the command is obeyed

10. Whatever He wills comes to pass by His bidding, O Guardian
And what He does not will can never come to exist

11. So believe and avoid every misleading ignorance
And ask your Lord for forgiveness, pardon and pleasure

12. And to die as a Muslim, concluded with success
If the trial of graves comes to ask me

13. Say: My Lord is Allah, the Supreme, and my destination
And say: My religion is Islam and my guide is Ahmad

14. The beloved Prophet of Allah, the best of messengers
If the dead are resurrected for merit and judgement

15. And the mighty scale and trembling bridge
Say: My sufficiency is Allah, the Bountiful, for all that

16. I fear and dread as on Him I depend
And at my arrival to the Fire, I hope for salvation

17. By His mercy, and Allah is the best to hope for
And for the righteous is the eternal Garden brought near

18. And they succeeded through glorious benevolence
So He granted them His gardens and bounties

19. For the righteous deeds they did, accepted
And He guided them to good, then rewarded them

20. With His approval and the Highest Realm
Wherein is nearness, everlasting kingship

21. Pure from all worries and preoccupations
And seeing the Lord of the Worlds, which is the goal

22. And destination of every accomplished seeker
Of houris and young servants, spouse and servant

23. And homes of gold and silver for dwellings
And its rivers burst forth and springs flow

24. And fruits of every picked cluster made ready
So say, O servants of Allah, every faithful

25. Devout, humble, penitent believer
Come to Allah the Bountiful, hasten

26. And walk the straight path that leads
And beware being like me, for I am confused

27. And my life passed all in pretense and excuses
And in desires not praiseworthy

28. And in heedlessness, permitted by interpretations
But I hope in my God and Creator

29. That hope in Allah is my fortress and refuge
And the Messenger of Allah came, our master

30. Who came to us with the verses of the Scripture revealed
Upon him, Allah's prayers and peace

31. And his family, companions of honour and those after
From the successful followers, his followers

32. And their followers, now and later
