1. Greetings, greetings like a sealing musk
Upon you, our beloved ones, O honorable ones

2. And mentioning them brought light to our darkness
And a light for us among these people

3. You dwelled in my heart, O Lord of lords
And you are my wishes and utmost desire

4. So would you make me happy with pure affection?
And would you grant me a noble station?

5. I am your servant, with sincere loyalty
And your nearness takes away my worries and heals me

6. So do not make me sick with long estrangement
And gift me with connection, even if in a dream

7. I die and live for your love
And my humility is to you, and my pride in you

8. And the comfort of my soul hopes for your nearness
And my determination and purpose is always to you

9. As long as I live, if my heart settles
To distance from its people and homeland

10. And the one whose love resided in wilderness
And lingered in all my bones

11. Whenever the beloved's remembrance passes my heart
And the valley of al-‘Uqayq and that hill

12. It inclines like the inclination of a wet rod
And it shakes from its passion and love

13. I die without visiting that termination
And those tents, in which is the purpose

14. And I have never drawn near, with those who drew near
To kiss the cheeks and drink the wine

15. If this is the case of my estrangement
Oh, the length of my sadness and troubles

16. And I have good thoughts of His nearness
My Lord and sufficiency, O boy

17. Perhaps God may heal the bitterness of those repelled
With the connection of the beloved ones and freeing of shackles

18. My nearness is merciful, generous and affectionate
Bestowing upon whom He wills, with wishes
