1. O Saad, my heart is sad
For the absence of meadows

2. Longing has increased in it
And tears have assisted it

3. I called, is there anyone to help
With his tears and devotion?

4. From every tormented lover
Whose longing has been so long

5. To the Bedouin's ardour
Those who descend the dune

6. In them is the agony of passion
He shot his heart with a painful arrow

7. So it became like me, captive
For ages feeling pain

8. Poor thing, without rest
Nor peace for his heart

9. The night is like the day
And all time is agony

10. The intention is to remove coyness
For him, and to endure sorrows

11. And today is like years
And the lute like crowds

12. O is there for our days
With twists and turns

13. A return of our bliss
So misery may disappear

14. And allow this passion
Through nearness, then meeting

15. I hope the Almighty
My Lord, to Him is the return
