And the nights passed in estrangement

6. My life passed, and I did not attain my desire
Of meeting you, O light of existence

7. Do you see our first life returning
That life of old will not come back

8. Since you frequented the nights of delight
My heart has been seized with sadness

9. In your God, console yourself for everything
Do not grieve for what has passed

10. Let go, even if it was but an illusion and fantasy
Away from the path of peace and contentment

11. That which removes you from every vain thing
Is but your silence to the decree

12. And all the gifts and favors
Under the beauty of acceptance, so rest here

13. This house contains no joy
It is never empty of the ingredients of misery

14. All who love it, their mind spins
Amongst the garbage and filth

15. Do not stop at the house of deception
And avoid it, agreeing with those who endure

16. And let asceticism be your provision and homeland
For it is the essence of sovereignty and wealth
