1. You have done well, O eminent in religion,
O son of the generous, the noble of God's people,

2. In your rhyming the chain back to the clear proof
Of God's saints, Lord of mankind,

3. People of guidance, truth, and support,
And knowledge, certainty, and direction.

4. Shaykhs of the path and reality,
And God's caliphs among creation.

5. From every sign, an imam and exemplar,
A refined Sufi, the choice of people.

6. They are succor in (our) places and water skins,
And our rescue in worries and afflictions.

7. So may God benefit us through them and elevate (us),
And remove evil through them and repel (it).

8. And may He reward the composer of the chain
The best reward, in the present and return.

9. And may He conclude (our) lives with certainty,
Following the Trustworthy Unlettered Prophet,

10. Blessings and peace be upon him,
And blessing and nobility and generosity.

11. And (upon) his family and companions,
The imams guiding the community.
