1. The fever flashed at dawn, waving,
And the morning breezes blow gently.

2. They remind me of Najd, may Allah water its sands,
Filled with the skirts of meadows roaming freely.

3. He made it grow crops and flowering plants,
With its flowers the southern wind diffuses fragrance.

4. Pastures of loved ones whose homes are on the shore,
And a seldom visited shrine, and true affection.

5. They ask about us and we ask about them,
And we hope for reunion but time is stingy.

6. We cry for them if they cry like us,
With tears flowing down flushed cheeks.

7. Perhaps Allah will bring us together again,
And each will be sincere to each in affection.

8. While me and them are under destiny and decree,
And the balance weighs heavy for those who accept fate.

9. For in the house of temporal life, death has surrounded us,
And those who do not depart today will leave tomorrow.

10. Our end is death, grave and purgatory,
And resurrection to the Generous Lord.

11. We will all gather for judgement and reward,
And we hope for leniency for the Lord is clement.

12. We ask Him for concealment, pardon and mercy,
And forgiveness for the Best of forgivers is clement.

13. And to admit us to Paradise by His grace and favor,
And save us from the furnace whose heat is intense.

14. And to intercede for us Ahmad the Master of Men,
The Prophet of guidance whose glory is matchless.

15. Upon him be Allah's prayers and peace
Whenever lightning flashes or wind blows gently.
