1. If you desire to live happily all your life
And make your grave after death a garden

2. And be resurrected at the blowing of the trumpet, safe
From fear, threats, banishment and loss

3. And be presented honored and revered
Angels give you tidings of success and reward

4. And your deeds that seep into the station of gathering sway
During the weighing on the Day of Assembly and Dispersion

5. And you walk steadily on the Bridge
And drink from the Prophet's immaculate pond

6. And live blissfully in the highest paradise
Blessed with closeness to the One, the Absolute

7. And you see Him sanctified
Beyond place, depiction, limit or measure

8. Exert yourself in perfecting conviction, for when
It is complete, the unseen becomes eyes without doubt

9. And be an Ash'ari in creed, for it is
The pure spring from deviation and disbelief

10. And the Pole, our Imam, has laid out
His creed, the cure from harm

11. And I mean the one none other than him
Is described with the proof of Islam - what glory!

12. And take abundantly from the sciences of religion
For with knowledge you ascend in life and in the Gathering

13.
And persist in studying the Qur'an, for in

14. Its recitation lies remedy and solace for the breast

15. Behold! It is the encompassing ocean, and other
Books are but rivers flowing from the ocean

16. Contemplate its meanings and recite humbly
You will attain treasure and hoard from its secrets

17. And be devout at warnings and hopeful
When promises give greatest glad tidings

18. Far from prohibitions, avoiding them
Keen on orders in ease and hardship

19. And if you desire an enlightened heart
Pure from impurities, then persist upon My remembrance

20. And persevere upon it in darkness and daylight
And always, openly and secretly

21. For if you adhere to it attentively
A light will appear to you, not like sun or moon

22. Rather a light from God, descending
Whose mention is in Surat An-Nur, so settle

23. An attribute that veils your secret, that when
It becomes pure, the essence of thought appears to you

24. With it you encircle the unseen of all worlds
And flow with it in the darkness of night when it flows

25. And with perseverance and beautiful patience you solve
The spacious elevated, so persevere and have patience

26. And be thankful to God in heart and state
For His grace, for with gratitude comes increase

27. Entrust yourself to your Master and be content with His decree
And be sincere to God openly and secretly

28. Content with what He gave you, free of need through it
Praising Him in ease and hardship

29. And be generous, lenient, and fear not
Poverty from God nor dread destitution

30. And beware of worldly life, for its splendor
Is account, and in its prohibitions lies exposure of honor

31. And be not fault finder, nor envious
Nor vulgar, nor treacherous

32. And do not seek status, O friend, for it
Is desire, and in it lies poison unbeknownst

33. And beware greed, for its companion
Is despicable, vile in purpose, disgraced

34. And if you desire a matter, ask God, for He
Is the Bountiful, the Bestower of good and plenty

35. And I advise you with the five, which, O brother
Are pillars of God's religion, means to the matter

36. And safeguard them always in congregation
And adhere to them at nightfall and dawn

37. And stand devoutly to God in the night's darkness
Pray to Him and conclude your prayer with the witr

38. And be repentant of every sin you commit
And seeking forgiveness at all times from burden

39. Perhaps the Giver, the Generous Master, in His bounty
May bestow upon the wrongdoings of the sinful, forgiveness

40. For His beneficence has encompassed mankind, His grace
Upon every existent, and His favor runs

41. And send blessings upon the best of all creation
Muhammad, sent with excuse and warning

42. The Prophet of guidance, mighty is his stature before God
Who aided him with victory from Him and help

43. Upon him, God's prayers and then peace
Prayers and peace until the end of time
