1. The lightning of the deserts gleams in the darkness
Reminding me of nights of intimate conversation

2. And days gone by in pleasant living
In the valleys of goodness between the rugged terrain

3. And honorable, noble friends
From a house illuminated by lamps

4. And pure, blooming maidens
With dark eyes protected from ogling

5. Will that time ever return one day
And every hardship give permission to unravel?

6. So that every love is at peace
And every pain settles in the evening

7. With the grace of Allah, dispeller of afflictions
The Most High who does not disappoint any hopeful one

8. We hope for it and wish for it always
To rectify what crookedness lies therein

9. And envelop us in well-being and pardon
So we may rejoice in joy and elation

10. With the blessing of Ahmed, best of creations
Intercessor of all on the Day of Assembly

11. Upon him Allah send blessings every instant
And peace as a refuge for Allah's refugees
