1. Oh friend, oh friend
Do not despair or get annoyed

2. And surrender to fate
So you may be praised and rewarded

3. And be content with what
The Master has decreed and arranged

4. And do not resent Allah's decree
Lord of the Greatest Throne

5. And be patient and grateful
To be victorious and successful

6. And of those with inner joy
The people of God, of every enlightened heart

7. Purified from all impurity, good and pure
And this world is base

8. With many events
And meager living

9. And short duration
And no one covets it

10. Except the blind of insight
The mindless one, if he had

11. A mind, he would ponder
Ponder over its fading

12. And its abundant troubles
And its little joy

13. Bliss, then bliss, to those who from it abstain
And leave it, and in obeying the Merciful persist

14. Oh eye, shed
A tear in request

15. For that beloved who
Used to be with us in the meadows

16. And is now a traveling stranger
With the heart and mind

17. After him troubled
But enough for me is Allah

18. And all affairs belong to Allah
And nothing remains except Allah

19. Upon Bishar descended clouds of merciful rain
And greeted them with the spirit of acceptance from me and give good news

20. To our masters
And the mystic shaykhs

21. And our family and friends
They in my heart reside

22. And those who in the chambers
Of my heart reside

23. In an abode fragrant
With pure musk

24. Still the best of masters
To all people leads

25. Their love is happiness
