1. Let people say what comes to them, my heart,
And trust in God, Lord of all creatures.

2. Do not hope for harm or benefit from any but Him-
Blessed is the Lord, generous and creator.

3. No creature has any control in this matter,
Nor is there anything here- so rely on the words of the Truthful.

4. He is the Lord, there is no lord but Him, and all
Are servants under His judgment, with no distinction.

5. Yes, some of them He approves and consents
To their obedience, while others disobey and rebel.

6. By His guidance the obedient become obedient to Him
And the defiant disobeyed, every separatist.

7. So ask your Lord for success, pardon, and pleasure,
And be among the people of truth and realities.

8. Men who went forward with resolve
To honesty and sincerity, with no barrier.

9. They attained that beyond which all hopes
Are vain. So, to God belongs a generous, delightful life.

10. Drawing near, approaching the sacred presence-
The ultimate goal of every seeker.

11. Oh, the life of loved ones! How I grieve
For it, and how many tears flow down my cheek.
