دواليك من دهر يواليك بالنجح
Your fortunes follow you through the ages with success,
ما كفر نعماك من شأني فيثنيني
Your blessings veil no ingratitude of mine
خلا الدهر من خطب يضيق له ذرعي
My time lacked troubles that strained my endurance
قد الخيل والخير بأسا وجودا
Lead horses and goodness with might and generosity,
دعي عزمات المستضام تسير
Let your resolves march on though the jealous chide,
أعيا شفاء الهم إن لم تشفه
The solace of cares defies healing, if you cannot heal them
شيما سنا البارق المنهل فالتمحا
O two messengers of the flashing lightning, draw near and inquire
إليك منك فرار الخائف الوجل
To you the frightened fugitive flees
تناضل عنك أقدار السماء
The heavens' destinies strive for you,
اليوم أنكص إبليس على عقبه
Today Iblis retreated back on his heels
تسمع لدعوة ناء غريب
Listen to the call of a lonely stranger
بقاء الخلائق رهن الفناء
The survival of creatures is dependent on death,
بشراك أيتها الدنيا وبشرانا
Good tidings to you, O world, and good tidings to us!
كسيت بدولتك اليالي نورا
Your state has adorned the nights with light
أجد الكلام إذا نطقت فإنما
When you speak I find your words to be
نداك حبيب لا يشط مزاره
Your beloved calls to you, his grave never grows old,
أهلا بمن قهر الملوك ومرحبا
Greetings to he who has subdued kings, and welcome
ومحق الشهر كمال البدر
The month faded like the full moon's perfection
لك الله بالنصر العزيز كفيل
For victory's glorious attainment God will surely suffice thee.
كل الكواكب ما طلعت سعود
All the stars have risen, you brought good fortune
شهدت لك الأعياد أنك عيدها
The feasts have testified that you are their feast,
جهادك حكم الله من ذا يرده
Your jihad is the judgment of Allah, who can repel it?
أبى الله إلا أن يرى يدك العليا
God willed to see your hand uppermost
قل للربيع اسحب ملاء سحائب
Tell spring to draw back the fullness of its clouds,
هل تثنين غروب دمع ساكب
Will the setting of a tearful sun ever bend,
أهل بالبين فانهلت مدامعه
He bid farewell, so his tears flowed,
أخفضا نوت فينا النوى ولعلها
The stars incline to us, perhaps
بفتح الفتوح وسعد السعود
With the opening of victories and the joy of triumphs
ليهن لك العيد الذي بك يهنينا
May this Eid in which you bring us joy, bring you joy
وفيهن أضحيت يوم الأضاحي
On sacrifice day, you sacrificed
سأمنع قلبي أن يحن إليك
I will prevent my heart from yearning for you
أخو ظمأ يمص حشاه سبع
A brother, thirsting, sucks his brother's blood,
سلام على مستودع الروح والنفس
Greetings to the repository of the soul and the spirit,
بحكم العدل من قاضي السماء
With the judgment of justice from the Judge of the heavens
لك البشرى ودمت قرير عين
You have good tidings as long as your two bright stars remain delightful to the eye
حسبي رضاك من الدهر الذي عتبا
I am content with Your pleasure despite the blames of time
تبلج عن إشراق غرتك الصبح
The dawn shone bright with the radiance of your valor,
كفي شئونك ساعة فتأملي
Take care of your concerns and observe
تسليت حتى أنسي الهائم الهما
You give solace until the anxious forgets anxiety
هو البدر في فلك المجد دارا
He is the full moon in the sky of glory revolving,
أقدمت دون معالم الإسلام
You came without the signs of Islam
كذا ينتهي البدر المنير إلى الشمس
Like the full moon fading into the sun
إلى شجا لاعج في القلب مضطرم
To a burning anguish in my heart
وفي غيابات أطباق الخطوب شج
In the absences of destiny's tribulations
إذا شذت عن العرب المعاني
When meanings depart from the Arabs
قل للهوى حكمت فاحكم لي
Say to passion "You have judged, so judge in my favor
هل يجهل السمت من يستوضح الطرقا
Does the one seeking the path not know the signposts?
سامي التليل كأن عقد عذاره
Like the necklace adorning the delicate branch of the willow tree,
غرام ولا شكوى وعتب ولا عتبى
A passion, and no complaining, reproach or blame
نور الوفاء بأرضنا لك ساطع
The light of loyalty shines in our land because of you,
استقبل العز مرفوعا به علمك
Raise high the banner of glory, under which your nation prospers,
أي شراع لأي بحر
What sail for what sea,
الله جارك ظاعنا ومقيما
God is your protector, settled and transient
فداؤك من لو كان في وسعه الفدا
To ransom you, if one had the means
نعم يبشر بدؤها بتمام
A good omen heralded by the completion of the opening
كم أستطيل تضللي وتلددي
How long will I wander confused and hesitant
محلك بالدنيا وبالدين آهل
Your place in this world and religion is populated,
وعدا على الله حقا نصر من نصره
A promise from God fulfilled, victory for those victorious,
أنضيت خيلي في الهوى وركابي
I urged my steeds in love and climbed their backs,
فديناك سيفا لم تخنه مضاربه
We ransomed you with a sword whose strikes never failed,
منن بأيسر شكرها أعييتني
With the easiest thanks, you've wearied me,
أضاء لها فجر النهى فنهاها
The dawn of abstinence shone for her, so it deterred her
دعيت فأصغ لداعي الطرب
You are called, so listen to the caller of joy
شكرا لمن أعطاك ما أعطاكا
Thanks to the One who gave you what He gave
سعي شفى بالمنى قبل انتها أمده
An endeavor whose success brought joy before its end,
سلام على الأيام تسليم إقبال
I greet the days with hope and hopes fulfilled,
نجوم الصبا أين تلك النجوم
Where are those stars of youth,
جاءتك خاضعة أعناقها الأمم
The nations came to you submissively bowing their necks,
النصر حزبك في الضلالة فاحتكم
Victory is your party even in misguidance, so judge
إذا شئت كان النجم عندك شاهدي
When you wish, the stars bear witness for me,
ما أطبق الهم إلا ريثما انفرجا
Dark misfortune loomed until it broke
أهلا بمن نصر الإله وأيدا
Greetings to the one whom God granted victory and support,
أياديك ردت يدي في يديكا
Your hands returned my hand in your hands
قد خطبنا وقد أجاز الولي
We have made our proposal, and the guardian has consented
ثم أَحييت فجرهم يا ابن يحيى
Then you revived their dawn, O son of Yahya
ثم أقدمتهن شعث النواصي
Then you brought them with disheveled forelocks,
السيف أبهى للعلا
The sword is most eloquent in the highlands,
وأي زنادي فتنة أوريا لها
What a mire of tribulation Urya kindled,
إذا سقيت أرض فقد بشرت أرض
When a land is watered, another land rejoices,
بشير يوم بملك دهر
A harbinger of a kingdom's day
هلال بنور السعد والحق مقمر
A crescent moon bright with the light of fortune and truth,
ولا في سرور العيد نحن مهنوه
Not in the joy of Eid are we made joyful by him,
ونيلوفر قمن بالذبول
A narcissus blooms then withers after a short while
اليوم نادتك السيادة هيت لك
Today, sovereignty called you, so you came
ألا هكذا فليسم للمجد من سما
Should not he who aspires to glory expose himself to peril?
سر سار صنع الله حيث تسير
Walk on, God's work is wondrous wherever you go
منكم إليكم مساعي المجد تنصرف
From you to you the paths of glory turn,
ما أوضح العذر لي لو أنهم عذروا
How clear my excuse would be, if only they would excuse me,
غدا غير مسعدنا ثم راحا
Tomorrow our unhappiness will cease and go away
تتبين شمل الدين أنك ناظمه
The unity of religion shows you are its organizer,
دأبك الهجر ودابي
Your abandonment has become my habit,
مكارمك اغتباقي واصطباحي
Your kindness is my morning draught and evening feast,
يا صفوة الأجفان من عبراتها
O essence of the most precious eyes whose tears
تصدت لوشك البين من جفوة الصد
She defied the impending separation out of aloofness,
طلعت نجوم السعد من آفاقها
The stars of good fortune rose from their horizons,
أهنيك يا عيد الرغائب عيدا
I congratulate you, O Festival of Benevolence, a festival
أخلق الدهر بقاء واستجد
Make time last eternally and renew it,
رب ظبي خنث ألحاظه
Many a soft and weakling man, his glances
لولا التحرج لم يحجب محياك
Had I no shame, your face I'd never veil
يا غياث العباد إن بخل المز
O succor of servants, if the clouds are stingy
بسعدك لا بسعد أو سعاد
With your felicity, not with any fortune or happiness,
عمري لقد أعذر الدمع الذي وكفا
My life, how the tears which sufficed have excused
قد عادت الشمس في أعلى مطالعها
The sun has returned to the heights of its rising,
أعاره النرجس من لونه
The narcissus lent him its color out of generosity, and became even more fragrant,
بشر الخيل يوم كر الطراد
Give glad tidings to the horses on the day of attack,
شكلان من راح وروضة نرجس
Two forms of comfort and a narcissus garden
وفي سر من را من محلي مقاصر
In the secret of whoever saw my dwellings
هل أنت مدرك آمالي فمحييها
Can you grasp my hopes, so revive them,
شوق شديد ووصل من حبيبين
Intense longing and union of two lovers
ويوم كسوتها رهج المصلى
When you adorned it, the mosque sighed in relief,
أصخ نحوي لدعوة مستقل
Listen to my call, O independent one
بلغت عبدك الخطوب مداها
My Lord, worries have reached their limit for Your servant,
زمان جديد وصنع جديد
A new era and a new craftsmanship
أفي مثلها تنبو أياديك عن مثلي
لعلك يا شمس عند الأصيل
لك الخير قد أوفى بعهدك خيران
أرحلي محمول على العتق النجب
أنورك أم أوقدت بالليل نارك
إليك سبقت أقدار الحمام
ثنائي عليك ونعماك فينا
الآن رد عنان الملك في يده
الشمس شاهدة وإن تك واحده
عيد ووعد صادق لك بالمنى
ما أحسن الصبر فيما يحسن الجزع
وأهد بها في الفلا والسرى
إقبال جدك للإسلام إقبال
هو النصر والتمكين أدرك طالبه
إن تفخر الدنيا فأنت فخارها
عادت عليك عوائد الأعوام
أهلي قد أنى لك أن تهلي
إلى أي ذكر غير ذكرك أرتاح
أهنيكما ما يهنئ الدين منكما
تركت قلبي بغير صبر
يا عاكفين على المدام تنبهوا
أوجفت خيلي في الهوى وركابي
لك الفوز من صوم زكي ومن فطر
عجبا لغي الحب لاح سبيله
كذا تتجلى الشمس بعد كسوفها
لئن سرت الدنيا فأنت سرورها
اليوم أبهجت المنى إبهاجها
سلام على البدر الذي خلف الشمسا
جهز لنا في الأرض غزوة محتسب
ضحك الزمان لنا فهاك وهاته
إن كان وجه الربيع مبتسما
قل للخلافة قد بلغت مناك
هنيئا لهذا الدهر روح وريحان
تخيرت فاستمسكت بالعروة الوثقى
سلام وهنيت فيك السلامه
عمرت بطول بقائك الأعمار
لعل سنا البرق الذي أنا شائم
اسعد كما سعدت بك الأيام
إن يجر زاكي دم للحمد تتلفه
سماء العلا منكم وأنت لها بدر
فكأن من حاني السحائب جودها
اقبل ثناء وشكرا
وطن فؤادك إن كان الرحيل غدا
حاشا لنار هواك أن تطفا
طير الفؤاد على لماك تحوم
شهدت لك الأبطال يوم كفاحها
طاعت لك الأحرار باستعبادها
عزم حداه السعد والإقبال
لتهنئ سلامتك المسلمينا
بدا لك نجم السعد واطلع النجح
من سبي سيبك مما أنبتت نعمك
هنيئا لنا ولأقصى العباد
عزاء وأنت عزاء الجميع
يا حبذا خجل التفاح في طبق
إزرع المعروف حزنا وسهلا
إن روضا لم تسقه منذ عام
هربنا إليكم فآويتمونا
غريب تحلت بآدابه
