1. A promise from God fulfilled, victory for those victorious,
And your sword's judgement on the neck of he who rejects belief.

2. A head peeking at the gate of Toledo,
Calling daily to unbelief, such is the tryst of the faithless one.

3. And a neck that finished off the doves at dawn
And a neck above the horizon awaiting its turn.

4. More loyal to his word than he who keeps watch over it,
Inviting: come and enter the abode of betrayal.

5. And yesterday in the desert a colt of noble stock
And today it has become the greatest of racers.

6. How many honorable and noble men
Whose might and glory did not save them.

7. As if he visited longing and embracing
Then blinded himself to the place of slaughter and palaces.

8. And igniting the embers of war with evil
But could not bear your ignition of its flames.

9. If his blood flows and extinguishes it
The soul of the son of Shanj is but fuel to the fire.

10. The partner of his pride if he stands proud
And the companion of his madness if confused and lost.

11. The doves deemed him worthy and singled him out
Calling the doves to easy prey made available.

12. His eyes do not return except remembering him
And he feels no self whenever reminded of him.

13. Only the deluge can drive away his loss from him
And the calamity has come to him unknown.

14. The cooing of the doves does not convey from their wings
What eloquent tongues have told of his news.

15. His custom is to fear the approach of the night raid
And his reserve is for the decisive moment he dreads.

16. His sword and the Indian swords lightning flashes
And his lance and the lances of the cavalry locked in combat.

17. A conquest where you took the lead in opening its closed gates
With flags rushing towards the enemy and taking them by surprise.

18. With an invocation the Merciful heard its caller
When you commenced with reciting the 'Cow' chapter.

19. This is the holy war whose witnesses did vouch
And the angelic guardians bore witness to its righteousness.

20. You subjugated therein the zeal of polytheism boldly sweeping in
With horses sniffing the air and improvising.

21. In every plain you clad it in mourning garments
Allowing the dawn sun upon them writhing in agony.

22. Beneath the sky is the starry sky of lances, their stars
The green of the pond reeds to the enemies murky and gloomy.

23. And all who assemble on wing interlinked
Have neither star nor moon to gaze upon.

24. Except your forehead proceeding cutting sharp
Like the moon beneath clouds pursuing Venus.

25. Until you raised above their flags a flag
Where God fulfills His promise to those He supports.

26. Punishment for sin with consequence of raising first
Which reveals happiness for Islam and benevolence.

27. And your enemy confused so for them was
The exemplary punishment of pitiless subjugation.

28. An effort you expended thereby making enemy land
A path for those who strive in its length and follow its tracks.

29. What can now make up for the soul of the son of Shanj
From the essence of one clad or an infidel's disbelief?

30. His end in war or in his misguidance
Had already seen and heard it.

31. Their blood avenged so it left not
For the Muslims the evil of fighting misbelief.

32. Then congratulations on a conquest you will attain tomorrow
With recurring victories from God awaiting you.

33. Gains for you of might and nobility
Preserved for you by God and stored away.

34. You delivered them in the way of God flawless
So the rewarder of cash or aproacher of deferred.

35. And rejoice in another and another promised and fulfilled
By the promise of the Lord of the Throne to those thankful.
