1. He is the full moon in the sky of glory revolving,
So the horizons glowed only when he shone.

2. He appeared to us, so we saw good fortune,
The hopes that were concealed were openly manifested through him.

3. He fulfilled that we almost lost our eyes
Yearning for him, competing in love for him.

4. The bodies of young men were adorned with courage
Scornful of being delicate, boasting of being daring.

5. The necks of his enemies today bow to him willingly,
And the necks of the foes are bent in humiliation.

6. O Lord of the highest glory you have desired
To your superiority a miracle challenging it.

7. Whoever climbs on the ridge of two valleys
And settles himself in the right hand side of the kingdom

8. Seeks to emulate the rank of that glory
But his efforts fall short of achieving that carpentry.

9. It suffices the Caliph to prefer for you
Over the people of this time humility.

10. You both have been granted long lives by Him
To carry His responsibilities, so excel in your glory.

11. For the abundance of the kingdom he has never been greedy
Nor did he hoard the choice of Muslims for himself.

12. He cast you into the sea of enemies and brought you near,
From the kingdom, as his counsellor.

13. So you were the sword and he was the bow
And the slogan was him and the shield were you.

14. From it he shed light on the religion
And from you a fire ignited against polytheism.

15. You devoted his blessings in God determination
You see victory walking wherever he walked.

16. So you protected the high ground and you harvested the meadows
And you lowered the guide and protected the flock.

17. Thus your sword became a fortress for the religion
And your blade a neighbour for the land.

18. And in Shant you reddened it
With drinks that desired revenge in the sea.

19. You sailed like a crescent challenging the crescent
To it, and a sea wading the seas.

20. And a sun that rises over the west
Wherever the brilliance of dust shines.

21. You had not shot except you hit its flanks
With the hands of the flickers stirred up flying.

22. Swaying through the vacant air
Either smoke or dust.

23. And Shant could not help it
Nor could victory avert its fate.

24. If it hid in the caves of the North
Victory sprang from it and caverns.

25. And hope betrayed it
While polytheism only increased its burdens.

26. You have startled his eyes with bewilderment
Leaving his mind dumbfounded.

27. Who does not know the covenant except subterfuge
And does not believe the covenant except for treason.

28. And when you armed yourself with certainty of faith
It did not arm itself against you except with fleeing.

29. And the thirst of death's swords has been quenched
So it cannot taste sleep except fleeing.

30. And the spears you rained on it vehemently
Struck souls and spared homes.

31. You shook at it long spears
Shortening the lifespans of a people.

32. You left it to God's safekeeping
And headed for the Highest and the Farthest Shrine.

33. The lion may disdain the high plateaus
And dismiss the caves contemptuously.

34. And you left in it the eradicator of misguidance
To repatriate it to you in borrowed attire.

35. To dry a shedding tear
And cool a burning breast.

36. And if the cups of death missed him
It made his body immortal with wine.

37. Your conquest has illuminated it with light
As the sun illuminated it with daylight.

38. So visit the pilgrimage with the Muslims
After your pilgrimage with the Christians.

39. For Egypt, Tunisia and the Hejaz have opened their eyes
Awaiting your arrival longingly.
