When the seductions of life waver in its luxury.

22. Making comfortable in Godโ€™s cause, protecting him
A Lord who brought sleep to the eyes of religion in its folds.

23. Loyal to the pillars of endless afflictions with it,
With the kingdom, religion and world upon its pillar.

25. The seas of its abundance in the horizons are abundant,

26. A drinker making the water-skins of the deserts tasty when
Drinking the enemiesโ€™ blood was not of its customs.

27. Until at each battle the lances shriek
A shriek that affirms the path of religion in its fervor.

28. And it snatches the souls of the tyrant kings as
In peace, its abundance is permitted to the critic.

And the bodies of oppressors dissolve into its bodies.

30. And the eye of sun squints through its cloud,
As an eyelid is weighed down by its rheum.

31. It does not refrain from generosity on a day of fight,
Nor is absent on a day of its call, a day of effort.

32. As if it dies with weaponry from his hands extending,
And its loyalists of blood call it,

33. Those with intellect among them and those with rage.
Struggling, written in the guarded tablet,

35. Carving into every breast harbouring the creed of blasphemy.
And he bends into the breasts of the non-Arabs, confusing them

36. With the blades of all the fiery West.
And the kingdom transcribes them in the mother of its pride,

37. While time recites them at the end of its extent.
Shepherding kings, so strangled by his domination,

38. Wandering the earth or finding refuge in his protection.
So such is the soul of Ibn Shanj, it has no refuge

39. From a death by sword or life of misery.
He ascends in nobility only by your elevation,

40. A face of dignity, raised up for its shrewdness.
And gains no land except you tied to it

41. A concern that deprives it of its comforts.

44. Having loaded his chest to the full from his store.
Then he bent, with the pagan kings enslaved to him
