٨. أَثمارُها من جنى الجانين دانِيةٌ

٩. فأَرْضَعَتْهُ ثُدِيَّ الحربِ فِي كِلَلٍ

١٢. مُجهِّزاً فِي سبيلِ اللهِ جَيشَ هُدىً

Making the kingdom elevated upon its pillars.

١٣. لمنْ بنى قُبَّةَ العَليا نَدىً ووَغىً
فأَصبحَ المُلكُ مرْفوعاً عَلَى عُمُدِهْ

14. Inheritor of the kingdom from its loyal subjects,
And the sword from his life, and captives from his violence,

١٤. مُوَرَّثِ المُلكِ من عُليا تَبابِعِهِ
والسَّيفِ من عَمْرِهِ والسَّيب من أُدَدِهْ

15. And victory from the efforts of uncles who were created
To help the Owner of the Throne at Badr and Uhud.

١٥. والنَّصْرِ من سَعيِ أَعمامٍ لَهُ فُطرُوا
لِنَصرِ ذي العَرْشِ فِي بَدْرٍ وَفِي أُحُدِهْ

For the calamities of fate cannot loosen its knots.

١٦. مُشَدِّداً عُقَدَ الإِسلامِ إِنْ نُكِثَتْ
ولا تَحُلُّ خطوبُ الدَّهرِ من عُقَدِهْ

١٧. وقائِدُ الخيلِ مُزْجاةً مُجَهَّزَةً
للحربِ من صبرِهِ فِيهَا ومن جَلَدِهْ

١٨. هادٍ هوادِيَها والليلُ معتكرٌ
بهَدْيِ من أرْشِدَ الإِسْلامُ فِي رَشَدِهْ

19. How different are your nights, O Mansur, charging through,
From the night of one restless in his lust and desire!

١٩. كم بَيْنَ ليلِكَ يَا منصورُ تُركِضُها
وليلِ مُرْتكِضٍ فِي لَهْوِهِ وَدَدِهْ

20. Not like the dawn of one happy in a pleasant meadow
From the dawn of one made blissful by Islam in his core!

٢٠. ما صُبحُ مصطَبحٍ فِي روضةٍ أُنفٍ
من صُبْحِ من يَنعمُ الإِسلامُ فِي كَبِدِهْ

21. Traveling to the enemy’s negligence, seeking it out
When the seductions of life waver in its luxury.

٢١. سارٍ إِلَى غِرَّةِ الأَعداءِ يَطلُبُها
إِذَا تقلَّبَ ساهِي العيش فِي رَغَدِهْ

22. Making comfortable in God’s cause, protecting him
A Lord who brought sleep to the eyes of religion in its folds.

٢٢. مسهَّداً فِي سبيلِ اللهِ يكلؤُهُ
ربٌّ أَنامَ عُيونَ الدِّينِ فِي سُهُدِهْ

23. Loyal to the pillars of endless afflictions with it,
With the kingdom, religion and world upon its pillar.

٢٣. مُوفٍ عَلَى كَتدَيْ طاوي الحُزونِ بِهِ
والمُلكُ والدِّينُ والدنيا على كَتدِهْ

24. The winds fall short of the course of its battalions,
As the angels fell short of its term.

٢٤. تُقصِّرُ الرِّيحُ عن مَسْرى كتائِبِهِ
كما تَقاصَرَتِ الأَملاكُ عن أَمَدِهْ

25. The seas of its abundance in the horizons are abundant,
Its puddles can compete with the water birds in their plenty.

٢٥. بُحورُ جَدْواهُ فِي الآفاقِ زاخِرةٌ
وَقَدْ يُزاحِمُ هِيمَ الطَّيرِ فِي ثَمدِهْ

26. A drinker making the water-skins of the deserts tasty when

٢٦. شَرَّابُ أَنقُع أَجوازِ الفَلاةِ إذَا
مَا كَانَ شُرْبُ دمِ الأَعداءِ من صَدَدِهْ

٢٧. حَتَّى يَئُودَ القنا فِي كُلِّ معركةٍ

٢٨. ويُنهِبُ الموتَ أَرواحَ الكُماةِ كَما

٢٩. حَيْثُ يُعِلُّ أَديمَ القِرْنِ من دَمِهِ
ويَحتَبي جَسدُ الجبَّارِ فِي جَسَدِهْ

As an eyelid is weighed down by its rheum.

٣٠. وتلحَظُ الشَّمسُ من أَثناءِ هَبْوَتِهِ
كما يُغَضغِضُ جَفنُ العَينِ من رَمَدِهْ

Nor is absent on a day of its call, a day of effort.

٣١. لا يُبعِدُ الجُودَ من يومِ الجِلادِ ولا
يُغِبُّ يومَ نداهُ يومُ مُجتلَدِهْ

32. As if it dies with weaponry from his hands extending,
And its loyalists of blood call it,

٣٢. كَأَنَّهُ من دَمِ الأَعداءِ فِي حَرجٍ
فإِنْ يَمُتْ ذو سلاحٍ من يدَيْهِ يَدِهْ

33. Those with intellect among them and those with rage.
Struggling, written in the guarded tablet,

٣٣. ومُعتَفوهُ لَديهِ أولياءُ دمٍ
نَداهُ ذُو عَقلِهِ فيهم وذو قَوَدِهْ

٣٤. مساعِياً كُتِبتْ فِي اللَّوْحِ واكتُتِبَت

٤٠. ما يَرْتَقي شَرَفاً إِلّا رَفَعتَ لَهُ

٤٦. وجاحمٌ من حريقٍ لا خمودَ لَهُ

٤٧. كَتائِباً تَرَكَتْ عُبَّادَ مِلَّتِهِ
لا تعرِفُ السبتَ فِي الأيامِ من أَحَدِهْ

٤٨. إِن ضاقَ عن مرِّها رَحْبُ الفضاءِ فقد
نَفِذْتَ من قَلبِهِ فِيهَا إِلَى كَبدِهْ

٤٩. فتَّتَّ منها قواصي بَنباويَتِهِ
بالهَدْمِ والنَّارِ فَتّاً فتّ فِي عضدِهْ

٥٠. وقدْتَ منها مطاياهُ مُوَقَّرَةً
بأهل كُلّ رفيع القدر أَوْ وَلَدِهْ

٥١. سما لَهُمْ رهَجُ المنصورِ فانقلبُوا
نحلاً جَلاهُ دُخانُ النَّار عن شُهُدِهْ

٥٢. وراحَ كُلُّ منيعٍ من معاقِلِهِمْ
غاباً خَلا لمُبيرِ الأُسدِ من أَسَدِهْ

٥٣. يرمي إِلَى الخيلِ والأَبطالِ مُفتدياً
بكلِّ أَغيدَ زادَ الذُّعر فِي غَيَدِهْ

٥٤. ثم اتَّقَى أعيُنَ النُّظَّارِ ينقُدُها
من عَينِهِ كالحَصى عدَّاً ومِنْ نقَدِهْ

٥٥. فرُبَّ ذي قَنصٍ زُرقٍ حبائِلُهُ
قَدْ صادَ ظَبياً وَكَانَ اللَّيثُ من طَرَدِهْ

٥٦. وقد ترَكْتَ ابنَ شَنجٍ فلَّ مُعتَرَكٍ
إِن لَمْ يَمتْ من ظُباهُ ماتَ من كَمَدِهْ

٥٧. مُشَرَّداً فِي قواصي البيدِ مُغترِباً
وَقَدْ مَلأْتَ فِجاجَ الأَرْضِ من خُرُدِهْ

٥٨. وَ فِرْذَلندُ رَدَدْتَ المُلكَ فِي يَده
وَمَا رَجا غَيرَ رَدِّ الرُّوحِ فِي جَسَدِهْ

٥٩. شِبلٌ دعاكَ لأُسْدٍ فوقهُ لِبَدٌ
فأقشعتْ عنه والأَظفارُ فِي لِبَدِهْ

٦٠. وطارَ نحوَكَ سَبحاً فِي مَدامِعِهِ
وَقَدْ تزَوَّدَ مِلْءَ الصَّدر من زُؤُدِهْ

٦١. ثم انثنى وملوكُ الشِّرْكِ أَعبُدُهُ
إِذْ جاءَ عبدَ يَدٍ أَلقى لَهَا بيدِهْ

٦٢. وآبَ مَنصورُ قَحطانٍ بعزَّتِهِ
أَوْباً تَذُوبُ مُلُوكُ الأَرْضِ من حَسَدِهْ

٦٣. فاللهُ ينقُصُ من أَعدائِه أَبداً
ويستَزيدُ من الإِسلامِ فِي عَدَدِهْ
