1. The sun has returned to the heights of its rising,
And the swell of the sea to the peaks of its surging,

2. And the splendor of guidance to the palm of its arranger,
And the world community has prospered under its uniter.

3. The light has returned to rejuvenated eyes,
And hearts have settled in their proper stations,

4. And the divine gifts into the hands of their giver,
And the kingdom’s territory into the arms of its protector.

5. The burden of turmoil has dismounted the back of the storm-rider,
The heads of enemies have turned white from its events,

6. Its awe has nearly cleft deaf rocks asunder,
Had it not been for composure permeating their hearing.

7. It has banished jinn from their most secretive haunts,
And frightened the wild beasts in the depths of their lairs,

8. Led by the call of divine oneness which has taken
A pledge from God as its interceding advocate,

9. And a dawn has shone in every darkened night
With the penetrating light and rays of its risings,

10. With a breeze of victory advancing against the foe
Like the wind of Aad which tore them from their dwellings.

11. If they seek refuge in the cliffs of mountains,
Their noses have come against the sword that cleaves them.

12. Or they have excused themselves with fleeing lives
That know well that flight is no use to them.

13. Salvation does not deceive itself in their thinking,
Nor life make itself seen in their hopes.

14. Rather, ruin from you is decreed for them, engraved
Upon a folk who have become uncovered in their beds.

15. Your sword is not helpless against their forts,
Nor does your blade miss what opposes it.

16. You have only dismounted for a time until they descend
Upon your loved ones in the basest of fields.

17. While you, exalted, follow the ways
Of rushing to war from its purest laws,

18. With God as your protecting neighbor, both settled and unsettled,
In the expanse of the land, both its near and its distant reaches,

19. Until He stirs for you horizons in succession,
With stars that bring joy to the world with their rising.
