- إذا أنا يممت الوزير بمدحة
- إذا أوترت قوس السحاب وفوقتIf You String the Bow of Clouds and Aim It
- إذا بحت بالشكوى عنيت معاشراIf I complain of my sorrow I meant companions
- إذا تفكرت في حظي وجودك لا
- إذا ثبتت بين القلوب مودةIf friendship is established between hearts
- إذا جدت فيها قالت السحب غيرةIf you are steadfast therein, the clouds will say out of jealousy:

- أرى إنجاز وعدك قد تمادىI yearn to see the fulfillment of your promise continue
- أرى عنب البستان قد آن أكله
- أساءت الحمى ولكنها لي

- وقائل عهده بالناس مذ زمن

- ولرب جمع من عداك لقيته
- ولرب ذي لؤم غلطت بقصدهO Lord with thick hair, I erred with his intention
