1. عُمْرُ المُعمَّرِ والصَّغِير سَوَاءُ

    والمَوْتُ دَاءٌ ليسَ مِنهُ دَوَاءُ

    The life span of the aged and the young are equal

    And death is an ailment with no cure

  2. وإذا الرّدَى جَذَبَ الزِّحَامَ وسَيْرُنا

    مُتَواصِلٌ فَمُنا خُنا البَيْداءُ

    And when fate pulls the crowds and our walk

    Continuous, so some of us pitch tents in the desert

  3. جَادَتْ بَهاءَ الدَّينِ صَنْدَلَ دِيمَةٌ

    وَطْفاءُ تَقْفُو إثْرَها وَطْفاءُ

    The brilliance of the faith brought a bucket of water

    Extinguishing follows it and extinguishing

  4. ذا صَنْدَلٌ فَوقَ الرؤوسِ مَكانُهُ

    لِمْ لا وفيهِ لِلرؤوسِ شِفاءُ

    A bucket above the heads is its place

    Why not and in it for the heads is healing
