يَا جَامِعَ المَالِ تَوَقَّعْ لهُ

مَا جَمَّعَ الدُّمّل إلاَّ انفَجَرْ

Oh you who hoards wealth, expect for it

What the inflated only bursts forth

كَمْ يَعِظُ الدَّهْرُ وَأَنتَ امرُؤٌ

قَلبُكَ في قَسْوَتهِ كالحَجَرْ

How the times caution though you are but a man

Your heart in its harshness is as stone
