طَوَتِ الزِّيارَةَ عِنْدَما

رَأضتْ المَشِيبَ طَوَى الزِّيارَه

She ended the visit when

She saw the gray hair, she ended the visit

فَبِقِيتُ أَهْرُبُ وَهْي تُلْ

فِي جَارَةً مِن بَعْدِ جَارَه

So I remained fleeing while she

From one neighbor to another

وَتَقُولُ يَا سِتّي اسْتَرِي

حِي لا سِراجَ وَلا مَنارَه

And she says, my lady, hide

Where there is no lamp or lighthouse
