Blessed art Thou for Thy smile's sweet grace,
When o'er Thy face kind lights and shadows race,
The heaven hath broidered silks and velvet gleam,
Her stars Thine welcome guests, or so they seem.
The Zodiac's lions as with cold are numb
In awe of Thee when Thou art angered, come.
The streaming flood hath from this mouth and that
Told of two swords blood-blazing fierce in spat,
In silvern armour warrior-hosts lie dead,
Slain by the tear-floods Thine eyes have shed.
Unfurl, unfold! Lo, Thy day is at hand,
When, loosed, shall fly all flags at Thy command!
