كَمالَ الدِّينِ صَفحاً عَن مُسِئٍ

عَديمِ الصَّبْرِ مُنْحَرِفِ المِزاجِ

Perfection of faith forgives a wrongdoer

Of impatient temper and crooked nature

فَسَامِحْني على مَا كانَ مِنّي

فَمَا تَخْفاكَ لَبْلَبةُ السِّرَاجِ

So pardon me for my misdeeds

For the lamp's turmoil eludes you not
