- تطلع مثل البدر في غسق الدجىLooked like the full moon in the dusk's gloom
- تعلقته من بني الأكرمينAttached to the Most Generous
- تقسمتني أقاصي الأرض إذ بعدواThe farthest ends of the earth divided me when they left
- جال طرفي بجدولMy Eyes Roamed a Stream
- حدائق الحسن تغري السهد بالحدقThe gardens of beauty allure the meadows with charm
- خذ حديث الشوق عن نفسيTake the words of longing from my soul
- خذها ولا تلفظ بغير بيوتهاTake it and don't pronounce anything but its homes
- خليلي ما حب البنين ببدعة

- وسافر عن قمرA traveler away from the moon
- وساق يحث الكاس وهي كأنما
- وشهر أدرنا لارتقاب هلالهFull Moon Over Edremit
- وعشية لبست رداء شقيقAnd One Evening She Wore a Cloak of Unhappiness
- وغزال ذي اعتدال شفهA Graceful Gazelle
- وغزالين دنا وصلهما
- وفتيان مصاليت كرامNoble Youths at Evening Gatherings
- وقزازة زرقاء رق صفاؤهاThe Blue Jay's Serene Grace
- وقفت على الربوع ولي حنين
- ولست باحيا من رجال رأَيتهمI am not alive among the men I have seen
