The abode of love, so the antelope reign

And passion's fervor makes its horsemen vain

When the does of intimacy turn their eyes

The pigeons coo and the warrior's sword is plain

As if the glances of the white eggs flutter

Between the breasts, Indian white and dark gazelle

They appeared, and never has my soul known dawns

Whose risings were so gently bright and well

Until I saw the pavilions of the tribe raised up

And the crowns were lowered over their cheeks' parallel

They camped in the vales of ardent fever and went far

So we have naught but the breezes of morn that tell
