أهدى الحبيب إلى الحبيب رسالة

رسول جاء بالبشر
A messenger came with good tidings
روجت نفسك حسبما
You have composed yourself as
على منبري أهدي التحية للجمع
I greet the gathering from my pulpit
هذي المدينة فانزل بي حواليها
This is the city, so descend with me around it
طربت بنا ريح النسيم
The breeze of forgetfulness delighted us
إلى العطف حركنا الركاب وعرجنا
To kindness we moved our feet and climbed
أهديت يا بدر من أقوالكم غررا
You gifted pearls of your words
أين نيلك أين خيلك
Where is your Nile, where are your horses
الروض باكرها الغمام وهزها
The garden was blessed by the clouds in the morning,
ما لي أرى حبل المواصلة انفصم
Why do I see the cord of communication has snapped
هي الحياة تجددت بقوانا
It is life renewed by our laws
طاب الحديث بذكر المطربات فذا

أهدي السلام تحية
I send my greetings as a gift
أهلا وسهلا بالإمام
Ahlan wa sahlan bil imam
هنيئا بالرفاء وبالبنينا
Congratulations on prosperity and children,
البحر يمضع ان به
The sea sails its fleet
وللجلفة الفخر العظيم وحزبها
To al-Jalifa goes great pride and glory,
قدمت وقد سست البوادي والجبل
You came and treaded the deserts and mountains
رجب علوت وقد رأى منك العدا
Rajab Alawat, seeing your enemy
نصول اذا حان الدفاع ولا نرى
When it is time to defend, we see no reward from the Lord except the eternal paradise
في جيشها الجرار من
In her mighty army are men
الله أعظم هكذا الاسلام
God is Greatest, thus
قم يا محمد يا ختام المرسلين
Arise, O Muhammad, seal of the prophets,
لأنس بين زيتون وزرع
Among olives and crops,
بنداوكم جبل به شوك الكلا
A mountain of thorn is Bandaukam
مدينة شلف يا عتيقة آثار
O ancient relics of Chlef, a city,
قاضي الإسلام داوود البطل
Judge of Islam Dawood the hero
هذه دار همام
This is Hamam's abode
يا سيد ما أنت إلا سيد
O Lord, you are the true Lord
هذه آثارنا فادع لنا
These are our traces, so pray for us
أمصر طربت لكن ليس هذا
Egypt rejoiced but that is not enough for us at the new holiday
أبك الدماء وقل لمصر قد عفا

الله أكبر ساد الحق وانتصرا

سليمان هل حررت في نظمنا نكد

قفا نبك أطلالا تقلص ظلها
Stop and weep at the ruins, whose shadow has shrunk,
لها في الجبال الشامخات معاقل
It has in the lofty mountains fortresses,
اسمع نصيحتنا إن كنت ذا بصر
Hear our advice if you have insight
حج وزار فغوى
دعك من هذا فماذا
يريد المرء أن يعطى مناه
طرب الهزار وعمت البشرى فما
ماذا أقول وقد وقفت بموقف
ختم الرسالة ربنا بمحمد
بين الجبال وبين حوض
يا رئيس الخطابة ازددت قدرا
عام جديد عاد فالبشرى به
قدر تم فبسطتم سحب حلمكم
ما الفخر بالأهرام عندي حجة
ما بالها تلك الظباء نراها
وجب الثناء على جماعة جادو
للغرب أنت وللمشارق مرجع
عبث السرور بمهجتي ولساني
قل لمن تاه دلالا وهوى
ليتها الغربة تقضي بعجل
وداعا يا ديار العز حتى
ظننا الجو خال من مجيب
بمحمد بن الأعرج الشهم اللبيب
قصر السعادة دم بالله محروسا
البدر يشرف إن ببرج الحمل حل
يا رب صل على النبي
لكن حلال شربها طيب
بمحكمة الإسلام غرداية تعلو
عقد بدا في الليل منفسخ فلا
سر بالأمان عبيد الله ممتطيا
فغدت رياض العلم مزهرة فيا
ولما أن رجعنا للديار
ما بالكم لم تفوا بالعهد وانفصلت
حمام قربس أبدى من منافعه
لبست التاج تاج الفخر كيما
