Those hearts, you would have lived on

4. You revived in your death a people
Had you lived, you would not have tamed it

5. You left a shining memory that does not fade
And established a party selflessly devoted

6. You made the happiest weep from joy
Indeed your death was like a spear in hearts

7. You made most of the world weep, so they grew
And regretted that you went far away

8. You did not die, but destiny took you
And the time came for your enemy to leave your land

9. You did not die, but before you were opposed
And now all say "You have guided us"

10. You did not die, no - mourning you is wrong, Mustafa
Rather you gained life and the opponent despaired

11. You did not die, no - and all people die
But you went first so you could gain inheritance

12. You did not die - who left politics pursuing
Why the weeping when you tightened the reins?

13. You always sought to unite the nation
So it united when your sermons reached us

14. You did not expect your party to be thus
In number and resolve, O pivot of bliss

15. You did not expect Egypt with its people
To shudder on the fortieth day in sorrow

16. You did not expect your hidden love
To be in each breast, O mighty refuge

17. Many brave heroes died - but how many kings
Suffered the stroke of death before their time?

18. Their funerals were attended for show
Hypocritically, politically, insincerely

19. But for your magnificent scene they raced
Horse and foot, prestige and protection

20. As if the people of this world were magnets
Drawn to your noble grave the day you were stabbed

21. If you rose and said "who mourns me?"
Would it be my family or the King of Kings in devotion?

22. Do not be surprised if the issue went
Beyond propriety - for this blow pierces

23. We struggled with the pain of losing you, Ali
The glorious one called us in the banners of glory

24. Still throbbing as the youth grows
The fame rises as hypocrisy is disgraced

25. He did not die who left his brother fulfilling
The banner's right, and he did not hesitate

26. So take the path Abu Al-Hassan and do not give up
For truth is solid and the opponent despised

27. Your leadership did not disappear but remained
With Fareed who selflessly served perfection

28. And may God grant you guidance and give us
Patience to accept departure, O pillar
