- أدركت آمال الشريعة في العداI have realized the hopes of the Law in vengeance
- إذا كان أملاك الزمان أراقماًIf the kings of the age are speckled snakes,
- است الحبارى ورأس النسر بينهماA houbara bustard's anus and a vulture's head—between them,
- أضاء لنا بغرتك الزمانTime shone for us through your radiant brow.
- أطاعك صرف الدهر في مهج العداThe turns of fate obeyed you over the lives of your foes,
- أطلع الدهر منك بدراً منيراTime has brought forth in you a radiant full moon,
- أعليت دين الواحد القهارYou exalted the faith of the One, the All-Subduing,
- الدهر منا في مديحك أفصحTime is more eloquent than we are in praising you.

- أهدي إليك ثناء العرب والعجمI bestow upon you the praise of Arabs and non-Arabs
- أياب الإمام حياة الأممThe Imam's return is the life of nations.
- أيابن خيار بلغت المرامO Ibn Khiyar, you have attained your goal.
- ببسيط العالم تعتضدOn the world's expanse you find support,
- بجد عزمك نال الدين ما طلباThrough the firmness of your resolve, the faith attained what it sought.
- برء الإمام حياة الخلق كلهمThe imam's recovery is life for all creation.
- بسيفك صال الدين في الشرق والغربWith your sword, the faith charged forth in the East and the West.
- جادوا وصالوا وصادوا واحتبوا فهمThey gave generously, charged, hunted, and sat clasping their knees; thus they are
- جلت عن المدح واستغنت فضائلهHis virtues transcend all praise and have no need of it;
- حللت من العلا أسمى ذراهاYou have settled on the loftiest peaks of glory,
- خليلي دعوى برحت بخفاءMy two friends, a plea—you have departed in concealment [text unclear].
- زعموا يا خلوف أنك خلفThey claimed, O Khuluf, that you are a worthless man—a 'khalf'.
- شاء الإله حماية الإسلامGod willed the protection of Islam,
- شد الإله بكم للدين أركاناGod has strengthened the pillars of the faith through you.
- شملت ببقائكم النعمBlessings have spread through your continued presence.
- صنع جميل جل عن أن يوصفاA beautiful deed, too exalted to be described.
- ضربت عليك لواءها العلياءLofty glory has raised her banner over you,
- عدوكم بخطوب الدهر مقصودYour enemy is destined for the vicissitudes of fate
- عن أمركم يتصرف الثقلانAt your command, the two weighty races—humankind and jinn—move;
- غزوا فما امتنعوا صالوا فما انتفعواThey were attacked but could not hold out; they attacked but gained nothing.
- فتح مبين جل أن يتخيلاA manifest victory, too great to be imagined.
- فتح يطاول فتحه الأحقاباA conquest whose conquest extends through the eras

- لواؤك منصور وسعدك غالبYour banner is victorious and your fortune conquering
- ما زلت أضرب بالقنا المنآدI have kept striking with bending spears
- ما شام برق جنبيه مسترفدNo seeker of bounty glimpsed the lightning at his sides
- ما في الحياة لمن ناواكم طمعWhoever opposes you has no hope of life.
- مشى اللوم في الدنيا طريداً مشرداًBlame wandered the world, banished and homeless,
- نصر بكل سعادة مقرونA victory joined with every happiness.
- هذا ابن حجاج تفاقم أمرهThis is Ibn Hajjaj, whose plight grew grave,
- هو الفتح أعيا وصفه النظم والنثراThis is the victory whose description defies verse and prose;
- وعلوي الجمال إذا تبدىAnd one of heavenly beauty—when he appears,
- يا سيدي جاءتك رفعة شاعرO my lord, word of a poet’s eminence has reached you,
- يا من يجدي لمن يجديO you who avails for him who avails,
- يابن السبيل إذا مررت بتادلاO wayfarer, if you pass through Tadla,
